NIGHTS OF THE DEAD

It is true, the dead are walking! Time to act... so stop your balking! - Bonzz
The Nights of the Dead is an annual EverQuest event, that takes place every October / November and coincides with Halloween.
Nights of the Dead has also been just called 'Halloween' and also referred to as 'Haunted Harvest.'
These events were first added to the game around October of 2005, and have been added to, off and on, ever since.
Additionally, NPC's Haunted Jack & Spooky Sally spawn in the Plane of Knowledge and offer free goodies like candy and costumes!
The years for each quest, as noted below, are best guess... based on how they are grouped in Achievements and other information, but some of them are not 100% definite. If I have the year wrong on any of them, please let me know and what evidence there is thereof!

Out With the Old (Mission, 2005 #5)
1) This task is one of a series that will award a Level related version of the Bone Mask of Horror (an illusion mask).

1) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: You are looking for Wicked Winnie (/waypoint 180, 275) near the main bank.
Hail Wicked Winnie and follow along, or just try saying 'Track it down,' to get this task.
Next, look for Haunted Jack (who is nearby) and buy from (it's free) him a Haunted Candy Apple.

2) STEAMFONT MOUNTAINS: You are looking for Finkel Rardobaen, who is in one of the huts to the southeast (/waypoint -1260, -1475).
Buy from (it's free) him a Liquid Caramel.

3) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: Head back to Wicked Winnie and give her the two (2) items that you just acquired, to finish up.
REWARD: Caramel-Coated Candy Apple (10 STR, 5 DEX, 5 STA, 10 WIS, 35 HP, 35 Mana, 35 END, 5 Magic) and / or Delectable Gummy Bears (5 STR, 8 DEX, 5 STA, 10 WIS, 10 INT, 5 AGI, 75 HP, 70 Mana, 40 END, 5 Fire, 6 Cold).

1) This quest is for a Freemind Spore Earring (a Familiar).

1) RIVERVALE: You are looking for Laryen Lycanthrope (/waypoint -185, -260).
Hail Laryen Lycanthrope and follow along, or just try saying 'Up for it,' to get this task.
You will get a Wand of the Blood Curse that has five (5) charges of 'Blood Dose Antidote' on it.

2) KITHICOR FOREST: You are looking for a fallen werewolf.
They are trackable and can be found in multiple places. When you find one, it will be lying on the ground.
Click the Wand of the Blood Curse on five (5) different a fallen werewolf.

3) RIVERVALE: Head back to Laryen Lycanthrope.
Hail Laryen Lycanthrope to finish up.
REWARD: Gummy Bear Delight (9 STR, 3 DEX, 3 CHA, 8 WIS, 10 INT, 3 AGI, 100 HP, 100 Mana, 20 END, 3 DIS, 3 Magic & 15 Poison).

1) KITHICOR FOREST: You are looking for Syxa Jewlborn, who is near the Commonlands zone line (/waypoint 1335, -1000).
Hail Syxa Jewlborn and follow along or just try saying 'Help,' to get this task.
Once done, go find a black cat (aka 'Muffin'), that is wondering about in the middle / western part of the zone, and hail it.
The go back to Syxa Jewlborn, and make sure a black cat has followed you. Then hail Syxa Jewlborn to finish up.
REWARD: Scrumptious Jack-o-Lantern (3 STR, 3 DEX, 3 STA, 5 WIS, 5 INT, 3 AGI, 45 HP, 30 Mana, 5 Fire and Illusion Scarecrow).

1) KITHICOR FOREST: You are looking for Crazy Charlie, who is near Rivervale (/waypoint 1820, 3795).
Hail Crazy Charlie and follow along, or just try saying, "Fight,' to get this task.
You will get a Fiery Wand of Retribution (with ten charged of 'Retributive Fire').
Then, just run about and find ten (10) zombie trooper and click the Fiery Wand of Retribution on them (they will flee and die).
After the last one dies, the task is completed.
REWARD: Crystalized Candy Corn (+60 Mana, 6 Fire, 6 DIS, 6 Magic, 6 Poison).

1) GREATER FAYDARK: This task is offered by a number of various NPC's (they all have 'Bonecollector' as their last name) in various city zones or zones just outside of a city zone (take your pick). However, for the purpose of this walk though, we will use Greater Faydark.
You are looking for Filada the Bonecollector, who is near the entrance to Northern Felwithe (/waypoint -1975, -2345).
Hail Filada the Bonecollector and follow along, or just try saying 'Lend a hand,' to get this task.
You will get a Scythe of Skeletal Expulsion (with ten charges of 'Skeletal Expulsion' on it).
Then run around and find 'skeleton' MoB's to click it on (it doesn't work on all 'skeleton' MoB's). If you need to, you can go over into Butcherblock Mountains as well (the zone you do this in, is not restrictive).
Once you have successfully clicked the Scythe of Skeletal Expulsion on ten (10) 'skeleton' MoB's, the task is completed.
REWARD: Ginormous Jawbreaker (4 STR, 5 WIS, 5 INT, 55 HP, 40 Mana).

1) KITHICOR FOREST: You are looking for Lurgh, who is an Ogre near Rivervale (/waypoint 1855, 3750).
Hail Lurgh and follow along, or just try saying 'Help,' to get this task.
The find and kill 'skeleton' type MoB's to loot one (1) each of a Skeletal Arm, Skeletal Leg, Skeletal Skull and a Skeletal Torso.
Once done, give them to Lurgh, to finish up.
REWARD: Candy Corn (8 STR, 2 STA, 5 CHA, 8 WIS, 8 INT, 2 AGI, 90 HP, 90 Mana, 10 END, 5 Fire, 5 Cold).

1) CRESCENT REACH: You are looking for Aragol Gloomflow, who is near a cave in the noob area (/waypoint 525, -2670).
Hail Aragol Gloomflow and follow along, or just try saying 'Help,' to get this task.
He will give you Aragol's Empty Pouch.
In this same zone, now do the following:
REWARD: Fiery Rock Candy (5 STR, 8 DEX, 8 STA, 5 WIS, 7 INT, 60 HP, 50 Mana, 7 DIS, 3 Cold).

1) TOXXULIA FOREST: You are looking for Marta Stewart, who is in a building near Erudin (/waypoint 1985, -740) and should be on 'Find.'
Hail Marta Stewart and follow along, or just try saying 'Hurled,' to get this task.
You will get Stack of Squash Pies (with 'Throw Pie' click effect on it).
Then say to 'Costume' to Marta Stewart and she will illusion you as a scarecrow.

2) TOXXULIA FOREST: Now for a pie fight!
There are MoB's (near the wall) with the word 'pie' in their name.
Go near them, but not too close (range 150, max), target them and click the Stack of Squash Pies on them.
Your pie will either hit them and they will despawn, or it will miss and they will try to retaliate by throwing a pie at you.
If they retaliate, there will be an emote that will tell you how to avoid being hit (duck, run in a specific direction...). If you are quick enough to respond correctly, you will avoid the pie.
If you do not avoid the pie, the pie will hit you and your scarecrow illusion will be dispelled.
If you fail, you will need to start over, by going back to Marta Stewart and saying 'Costume,' to get a re-illusioned as a scarecrow.
The goal here is to successfully hit ten (10) MoB's with 'pie' in their name, while never getting hit with a pie, yourself.

3) TOXXULIA FOREST: Once done, head back to Marta Stewart and hail her to finish up.
REWARD: Tasty Squash Pie (15 STR, 15 STA, 10 WIS, 15 INT, 20 HP, 20 Mana, 10 Cold). You also get to keep the Stack of Squash Pies.

TROUBLEMAKERS IN FAYDARK (2007 #2)
1) GREATER FAYDARK: You are looking for Silas Lightweaver, who is near the one of the 'lifts' (/waypoint 495, -400).
Hail Silas Lightweaver and follow along, or just try saying 'Helping,' to get this task.
He will give you a Faerie Catching Bottle.
Next, catch ten (10) 'pixie' or 'faerie' MoB's, by getting into melee range and clicking the Faerie Catching Bottle on it.
NOTE: You may want to remove any damage shields and weapons to avoid killing them by accident.

2) LESSER FAYDARK: Head into this zone and click the Faerie Catching Bottle to release the 'pixie' or 'faerie' MoB's you captured.

3) GREATER FAYDARK: Head back to Silas Lightweaver and hail him to finish up.
REWARD: Firework: Nagafen Fire.

1) QEYNOS HILLS: You are looking for Corporeal Gravlin, who can be found near the North Qeynos zone line (area of /waypoint -75, 60).
Hail Silas Lightweaver and follow along, or just try saying 'Interested,' to get this task.
You will get a Torch of Undead Warding.

2) QEYNOS HILLS: Now you have to escort and protect a frightened traveler to Surefall Glades zone line.
Along the way, kill everything that may threaten a frightened traveler.
There will also be minion of Pyzjn that spawn, for which you kill by clicking the Torch of Undead Warding.
Once you succeed with the escort, head back to Corporeal Gravlin and hail him, to finish up.
REWARD: Firestorm Torch (a low damage click AoE DoT).

NEKTULOS GHOST RIDER (2007 #4)
1) NEKTULOS FOREST: You are looking for Grom Shives, who can be found in the southwest corner of the zone (area of /waypoint -1920, 1210).
Hail Grom Shives and follow along, or just try saying 'Mount,' to get this task.
You will get a Bridle of the Cursed. (a one-use Nightmare Steed Mount).
You will also receive Mask of Eyes (a clicky).

2) NEKTULOS FOREST: Now, it is a test of your equestrian skills, as you will have four (4) minutes to ride to ten (10) checkpoints for ten (10) updates.
The X can be clicked (spam click it) to provide some direction on which way to run.
You can also pre-mark your map with the ten (10) locations and run spot to spot, in order.
When you are ready, get on the mount (use the Bridle of the Cursed) try, say 'Ready,' to Grom Shives, and get going!
If you fail, you can say 'Tray again,' to Grom Shives, for another go.
The ten (10) check points, in order, are in the area's of:
NOTE: it appears that you do not actually have to use the X. So long as you hit all ten (10) update spots (mount or no mount... or any mount) in the four allotted minutes time, you should be good.
Once you succeed, head back to Grom Shives and hail him to finish up.
REWARD: Cloak of Death (a 'Spirit of Eagle,' a run speed and levitate click buff).

1) WEST KARANA: You are looking for Rongol, who can be found at a barn in the mid-south part of the zone (area of /waypoint -3700, -9280).
Hail Rongol and follow along, or just try saying 'Help,' to get this task.
You will get a Bridle of the Cursed (a one-use Nightmare Steed Mount).
Next, head to Innkeep Danin (who is on Find, in the area of /waypoint -1515, -13000), and buy four (4) Torch from him.
The head over to Anderia, who is back near Rongol, and give her the four (4) Torch, to finish up.
This leads to the next task ('Scarecrow Roundup'), below.

1) WEST KARANA: You are looking for Rongol, who can be found at a barn in the mid-south part of the zone (area of /waypoint -3700, -9280).
Hail Rongol and follow along, or just try saying 'Pitchforks,' to get this task.
You will get a Rongol's Pitchfork (with a 'Prod' click effect on it, that has a 5-second re-use timer).
NOTE: It appears that there must be at least one (1) a hired hand NPC alive, before you can get any updates.

2) WEST KARANA: The goal here is to equip Rongol's Pitchfork (primary slot) and use it (click it) to 'roundup' ten (10) a crazed scarecrow.
This is no where near as easy as it sounds.
Near Rongol, is a small fenced in area, where you will see one (1) or more a hired hand, and a number of a crazed scarecrow, running about.
If get right up near and target a crazed scarecrow, click Rongol's Pitchfork on it, the a crazed scarecrow will turn about and run a short distance and stop for a short time, before starting to move about again.
The trick is to position yourself so a crazed scarecrow will turn and run towards the fenced in area... while also to using the Rongol's Pitchfork from such a distance, that the a crazed scarecrow stops running whilw inside the fenced in area (and gives you an update).
Once you have done tis ten (10) times, the task will complete.
REWARD: Spiced Crow's Blood (6 STA, 6 WIS, 6 INT, 15 HP, 25 mana, 15 Magic, 15 Poison) & Scarecrow Potion (a scarecrow Illusion).

NECROMANCER'S GARDEN (Mission, 2008 #3)
1) GREATER FAYDARK: You are looking for Leavalin Mossbite, who is along the path from Northern Felwithe (/waypoint -1100, -1940).
Hail Leavalin Mossbite and follow along, or just try saying 'Help,' to get this task.
He will give you a Blessed Shillelagh (with a 'Pound' click effect, that has a 6-second re-use timer on it).
Equip the Blessed Shillelagh (primary).
Next, to the northwest, there are a number 'Graveskull' (skeleton heads) that are 'growing' out of the ground in the area of /waypoint ????.
The intent of this quest is to target a Graveskull, and click the Blessed Shillelagh on it to 'shrink' it back into the ground. Unfortunately, the Graveskull will start to immediately grow back, between click. This will take about ten (10) clicks and might only be possible if you have at least one 91) other Player to help you and clicking their Blessed Shillelagh on the same Graveskull.
However, there is a secret! The Blessed Shillelagh can be used on other MoB's in the same area ('pixie,' 'faerie,' 'orc,' 'spider' MoB's and others), with with less clicks of the Blessed Shillelagh needed for an update.
Once done, the task will complete.
REWARD: Worm Skull Muffin (15 STA, -5 CHA, 15 WIS, 15 INT, 30 HP, 20 Mana, 5 Fire, -5 DIS, 5 Cold, -5 Poison) & Floating Skull Potion (a floating skull Illusion).

THE WITCH'S WISHES (2008 / 2021 #4)
1) SOUTH KARANA: You are looking for Cikdew, who is under the bridge to North Karana.
NOTE: This quest appears to have been first added in 2008. It would give you a Quest window, but the only step it showed was 'Hi!' It was eventually fixed in 2021, so may many consider this a 2021 Task, even though it had been in the game, but broken, since 2008.
Hail Cikdew and follow along, or just try saying, 'Do this' to get this task.
You will be give a Dreadful Witch's Cauldron.
As a note, Bamrih Tyco, that is nearby and keeps getting changed into a toad, is just flavor (he does not come into play). This also applies to Glinda (the cat).

2) ERUDIN: You are here for a location update (/waypoint -715, -115, near where Vynon Estaliun is located), and you get a Lost Mirror on your cursor or in your bags.
.
3) THE FEERROTT: You are looking for Mugu, who is near Oggok (/waypoint 970, 1245) at the huts where the vendors are.
Mugu will not respond to hails, just give her the Lost Mirror, she will look at herself in the mirror causing it to break and then give Pieces of a Shattered Mirror back to you.
.
4) COMMONLANDS: Kill any and all 'spider' MoB's until you get at least one (1) Spider Legs.
NOTE: These are tradeable. If you have some all ready, or want to buy / acquire them from other Players; or know of a better zone to loot one, feel free to do so.
.
5) THE PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: You are here to do a couple of things.
First, find Scholar Klaz, who is a Research Vendor near the main (small) bank. Buy from him at one (1) Rock Salt.
Next, in the building where you are, look for Chef Denrun and buy from him one (1) Frosting and (1) Spices.
Now combine the Spider Legs, Frosting and Spices in on Oven to make a Candied Spider (Baking Trivial 88, it makes eight of them).

6) SOUTH KARANA: You are here for a location update (/waypoint 300, -2345, inside the north hut at the Centaur Village), and you get a Broken Horseshoe on your cursor or in your bags..
Now put the Broken Horseshoe, one (1) Candied Spider, Rock Salt & Pieces of a Shattered Mirror inside the Dreadful Witch's Cauldron and combine them to make a Dreadful Witch's Brew.

7) SHADOWREST: Say 'Travel' to Devin Traical in the Plane of Knowledge, (/waypoint -15, 485) to get teleported into this zone.
After you zone in, go to the third headstone to the southeast (/waypoint -60, -160), that has the dirt covered grave, for an update.
Next, click the Dreadful Witch's Brew, while standing at / on the grave, for another update, to spawn a Dreadful Mushroom on the grave. Pick it up.

8) SOUTH KARANA: Head back to Cikdew, and giver her the Dreadful Mushroom, to finish up.
You will get a Quest Reward Window, where you can chose either Ghastly Gummy Bears (155 AC, 1200 HP, 950 Mana, 600 End, required Level 100, Tribute 600, Small, 0.5 Weight) (stat food), or Ominous Orangeade (155 AC, 1200 HP, 1200 Mana, 400 End, required Level 100, Tribute 240, Small, 0.5 Weight) (stat drink).

THE HUNT FOR TATTOOED FLESH (2009 #1)
1) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: You are looking for Edmund Strangeways. He is in the 'evil' area of the zone (/waypoint 650, 185).
This task is automatically assigned to you when you complete the task 'Digging Their Graves,' (see below... which is technically the first quest you get) for the first time. The first step should automatically update.
You now need to do the 'Digging Their Graves' task four (4) more times to complete this task.

2) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: Each time you complete the 'Digging Their Graves' task, by turning in an Intricately Tattooed Flesh and the Edmund's Shovel to Edmund Strangeways, make sure you hail and / or follow along with Edmund Strangeways, in order to get the proper updates for this task, and the 'Digging Their Graves' task. Each time there will be a different, but continued, conversation.
The fifth time you complete / finish the 'Digging Their Graves' task, you will complete this task.
REWARD: Frightening Writ (a Scarecrow mercenary contract).
REWARD: After you claim (click) the Frightening Writ (see above), you should also get a new suffix, 'the Gravedigger.'

DIGGING THEIR GRAVES (2009 #2 to #5)
1) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: You are looking for Edmund Strangeways. He is in the 'evil' area of the zone (/waypoint 650, 185).
Hail Edmund Strangeways and follow along, or just try saying, "Bring," to get this task.
You will also get Edmund's Shovel (with the click effect of 'Grave Dig' on it).

2) VARIOUS ZONES: Depending on your Character Level, you will be sent to one of several different zones (Nektulos Forest, Lake of Ill Omen, Emerald Jungle, Firiona Vie, Goru'Kar Mesa, Barren Coast, The Steppes, The Buried Sea, Loping Plains or Field of Scale.
In whatever zone you are sent to, look for a pile of rocks, or a pile of earth, called disturbed earth. Go up to and target a disturbed earth and click your Edmund's Shovel on it. Either a disturbed spirit or a tattooed zombie will spawn, that you will need to kill. It is a tattooed zombie that you need to find, as it will drop an Intricately Tattooed Flesh, that you need to loot.

3) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: Head back to Edmund Strangeways.
Give Edmund Strangeways the Intricately Tattooed Flesh and Edmund's Shovel, and follow along if needed, to finish up.
You will also, automatically, be assigned the 'The Hunt for Tattooed Flesh' task (see above), the first time you do this.

4) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: You now need to do this task four (4) more times, however here is a 14 (fourteen) hour timer (lock out) on this task, so you will have repeat this task next day, each time.
When the timer is up, repeat the above steps. Be sure to follow along with any variant conversation Edmund Strangeways may initiate each time, to insure the proper updates happen.
Each time you turn in an Intricately Tattooed Flesh to Edmund Strangeways, make sure you hail and / or follow along with Edmund Strangeways, in order to get the proper updates for this task, as well as the 'The Hunt for Tattooed Flesh' task.
This task is actually just 'steps' for the 'The Hunt for Tattooed Flesh' task.

1) CRESCENT REACH: you are looking for Jilian Florantine, near a building near the river (/waypoint 315, -2125).
Hail Jilian Florantine and follow along, or just try saying, 'Willing' to get this task.
Next, head into the nearby 'Nokk' cave (area of /waypoint 675, -2420), for a location update, where you will see Ghost of All Hallows Eve and Shadow of All Hallows Eve. If they aggro, kill them.
The head to the 'undead' cave, further to the north and kill Shadow of All Hallows Eve that is there, along with other that aggro.
Don't be surprised if you get turned into a erudite spirit (illusion), in the process.
Lastly, head back to Jilian Florantine and hail him, to finish up.
REWARD: Pirate's Gold (6 STR, 3 CHA, 8 WIS, 8 INT, 70 HP, 60 Mana, 3 Cold, 5 Magic, 7 Poison).

TERROR OF ILLIS TABERISH (Mini-Mission, 2010 #1)
1) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: You are looking for Illis Taberish, who is by a tree near the main (big) bank (/waypoint 285, 330).
Hail Illis Taberish and follow along, or just try saying 'Bring,' to get this task (for up to three (3) Players).

2) VARIOUS ZONES: Depending on your Character / Group Level, you can be sent to variant zones. In each zone, you are there to kill four (4) MoB's and loot a Skinwalker's Soul Shard from each of them.
Your targets, by zone, are:

3) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: Head back to Illis Taberish, and give him the four (4) Skinwalker's Soul Shard, to finish up.
REWARD: Vampire Bat (a placeable house pet). It also unlocks the next task, 'Under Your Skin" (see below).

1) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: You are looking for Rhaeda Evel, a werewolf by a tree near the main (big) bank (/waypoint 300, 325).
Hail Rhaeda Evel and follow along, or just try saying 'Willing,' to get this Mission (for three (3) to six (6) Players).
When you are prepared to start, /say Ready to Rhaeda Evel, to zone into the instance.

2) SNARLSTONE DENS: UNDER YOUR SKIN: Your goal here is to do the following:
REWARD: Stambles the Reincarnate (a placeable house pet).

Achievement: Hero's Forge Nights of the Dead Hats (2012)
1) MOST ZONES: During the Nights of the Dead events, there are five (5) special hat ornaments added to the universal loot table (since about 2012).
Acquire and possess (on your character) one (1) of each, at the same time, to get this Achievement.
You do not actually have to equip them.
They are:

1) COMMONLANDS: You are looking for Arlien Browch, who you in the tunnels at the vendor / NPC area.
Hail Arlien Browch and follow along, or just try saying, 'Harvest More,' to get this task.

2) NEKTULOS FOREST: Head to the area of /waypoint 880, -820 (north of the Wizard Spires), to pick up a Dreadful Pumpkin (a ground spawn that looks like a tiny pumpkin).
.
3) KITHICOR FOREST: Head to the area of /waypoint 645, 2170 (south of the road, mid-zone, by a tree), to pick up a Haunted Pumpkin (a ground spawn that looks like a tiny pumpkin).
.
4) MISTY THICKET: Head to the area of /waypoint -310, -145 (behind the hut near the PoK Book), to pick up a Perfectly Ripe Pumpkin (a ground spawn that looks like a tiny pumpkin).

5) EVERFROST PEAKS: Head to the area of /waypoint 1670, 250 (south from Halas, first dead-end on the left, by a tree), to pick up a Frozen Pumpkin (a ground spawn that looks like a tiny pumpkin).

6) WEST KARANA: Head to the area of /waypoint 1335, -2035 (northwest corner area of zone, behind the buildings, up on the hill by a tree), to pick up a Overripe Pumpkin (a ground spawn that looks like a tiny pumpkin).

7) THE FEERROTT: Head to the area of /waypoint 1010, -1980 (among some tree's to the northeast), to pick up a Rotten Pumpkin (a ground spawn that looks like a tiny pumpkin).

8) COMMONLANDS: Head back to Arlien Browch, and give him the six (6) pumpkins you just picked up, then follow along.
You will get a Fabulous Stack of Pumpkins.

9) WEST KARANA: Head to the farm at /waypoint -3605, -7680 (he barns at mid-zone, near the water at the dead end road), for a location update.
Look for Tukk (nearby) and give him the Fabulous Stack of Pumpkins.
Then turn to Minda (also nearby). say 'Delivered pumpkins,' and then follow along, to finish up (the quest spam is to direct you you to the next task).
You will get a Quest Reward Window, where you can chose either Ghastly Gummy Bears (155 AC, 1200 HP, 950 Mana, 600 End, required Level 100, Tribute 600, Small, 0.5 Weight) (stat food), or Ominous Orangeade (155 AC, 1200 HP, 1200 Mana, 400 End, required Level 100, Tribute 240, Small, 0.5 Weight) (stat drink).

1) WEST KARANA: You are looking for Hule C. Zarschl, near a hut in the area of /waypoint -3715, -7665 (he is on Find).
The entire Task is in this zone.
Hail him and follow along, or just try saying 'Few Tasks,' to get this task.
Now, to do several things.

NOTE: This quest is a bit of a homage to 'It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!'

2) WEST KARANA: If you ignored the warning noted in the previous Quest, and did not keep the Pumpkin Carving Knife and the Pumpkin Carving Kit, head back to Hule C. Zarschl, near a hut in the area of /waypoint -3715, -7665 (he is on Find) and get his task again (/say Few Tasks) and then /say Delivered pumpkins, to get them again.
Now you need to do the following:

Big Trouble in Little Mesa (Mission, 2022 #4)
1) BLIGHTFIRE MOORS: You are looking for Astyn the Gray, who is up near the zone line to Goru'Kar Mesa (/waypoint 1755, 420, 100).
This is a group mission, but you can get it solo.
Hail Astyn the Gray and follow along, or just try saying, 'Can help,' to get this mission.
To zone into the instance, say 'Ready' to Astyn the Gray.

3) GORU'KAR MESA: THE TROUBLED MESA: Now it is time for combat.
CHALLENGE STEP: FED RAPID REMEDY: KILL THE FESTERING CARBUNCLE IN LESS THAN 30 MINUTES: At this point, you can also accomplish this challenge. It is pretty straight forward... get Festering Carbuncle dead withing thirty (30) minutes. This 30-minutes seems to be from the start of the mission, but it could be after the hail to Laghion, which activates / spawns Festering Carbuncle (unclear).
Head to the river (east of where you are, then head north up the river, and be ready!
You will soon see Festering Carbuncle (/waypoint -715, 600).
Completing the missions will also complete the Achievement: Nights of the Dead: Big Trouble in Little Mesa.
Completing all three of the 'challenges' will complete the Achievement: Nights of the Dead: Big Trouble in Little Mesa Mission Challenges.
