EVERQUEST 15TH ANNIVERSARY EVENTS

Where to find them and how to do them!

It's the big one-five, and we still survive! - Bonzz

ANNIVERSARY LORE

There were no Anniversary Events before the 5th Year of EverQuest.

However, upon the 5th Anniversary of EverQuest, a temporary, special Anniversary event was added to the game.

After that, it became an annual tradition in EverQuest, with new Anniversary related events being added each year, as well as the old ones being reactivated right along beside them.

Anniversary Events generally start around March 16th (EverQuest was launched March 16, 1999), and continue to as late as mid-May.

There are now so many Anniversary Events that they are implemented / divided in two parts... "Modern" events (14th Anniversary and forward) and "Legacy" events (5th to 13th Anniversary).

The "Legacy" events do not award Commemorative Coins, but do include Fabled MOB's (introduced in 2008). These events do not start until near mid-April.

The "Modern" events start right away and generally award Commemorative Coin, which is a specialty coin that can used to buy special items with "a jubilant merchant" in the Plane of Knowledge (near the Nexus stone, and the stuff ain't cheap!).

The Mechanical Fortune Teller (near the Crescent Reach stone) was added to the Plane of Knowledge, to help direct you to the events (by year), because now, there are a lot of them. Just hail her and follow along.

Download and unzip this file to the 'storyline' folder of your EverQuest directory to have access to a generic, simplified version of these quests, in game, via your Story Window (Alt N)! NOTE: This file can be updated in the event of typo corrections, errors and new events, so you may need a fresh download / install every so often.

15TH ANNIVERSARY

The 15th Anniversary was in 2014, which are the second year of 'Modern' Anniversary events.

Commemorative Coins (Anniversary-only alternative currency) were introduced with the 15th Anniversary events (see above).

The Plane of War was added during the 15th Anniversary, BUT it is not actually an Anniversary event... it was added as a permanent zone... but it does have an Anniversary event tied to it.

Magically Delicious (Solo)

1) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE:: Before you actually start this quest, you need do acquire a number of items.

NOTE: While this Quest requires a level of preparation, don't let that discourage you. If you can acquire a plentiful stock of the items noted in Steps 1 to 11, this Quest becomes easy to repeat and is worth the effort. Particularly if you are looking to earn enough Commemorative Coins to buy any of the unique items sold by a jubilant merchant (in the Plane of Knowledge). This Quest awards twenty (20) Commemorative Coins, which more than all most any other anniversary quest (from any year). So, if you stock up on supplies, you can basically skip these first eleven (11) steps!

Head to Chef Denrun, who is in a building near the 'small' bank (/waypoint -300, 760).

Buy from him at least (if you want to 'stock up,' but incremental amounts of these items):

Now, turn around and use the nearby Mixing Bowl to make at least one (1) Vegetable (Carrot, Lettuce & Turnip; Baking 15).

.

2) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: Now head over to Alchemist Redsa, who is just outside the same building (/waypoint -320, 815).

Buy from her at least (if you want to 'stock up,' but incremental amounts of these items):

.

3) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: Now head over to Brewmaster Berina, who is behind the 'small' bank (/waypoint -325, 760).

Buy from her at least (if you want to 'stock up,' but incremental amounts of these items):

.

4)  ERYSLAI, THE KINGDOM OF WIND (aka Plane of Air):  You need to acquire at least one (1) Phoenix Egg, which can be foraged in this zone.

They can also drop from 'phoenix' MoB's (southwest island).

The Phoenix Egg are tradable, so you can also acquire them from other Players / The Bazaar, if you wish.

.

5)  OCEAN OF TEARS:  You need to acquire at least one (1) Kiola Nut.

A quick way to get here is with the Islander Hammock, if you have one.

They are sold by Cleonae Kalen, who wonders about at the top of 'Sister Island' ('Faydark Champion' faction might be an issue, you might try a Wood Elf Illusion).

The Kiola Nut are tradable, so you can also acquire them from other Players / The Bazaar, if you wish.

.

6)  OCEANGREEN HILLS:  You need to acquire at least three (3) Corn Rose.

They are ground spawns near the wall / border to Oceangreen Village.

The Corn Rose are tradable, so you can also acquire them from other Players / The Bazaar, if you wish.

.

7)  FRONTEIR MOUNTAINS:  You need to acquire at least two (2) Drench Flower.

The foraged in the Frontier Mountains (old or new zone).

A quick way to get to the new (EoK) Frontier Mountains is with the Ancient Iksar Translocator Stone, if you have one.

The Drench Flower are tradable, so you can also acquire them from other Players / The Bazaar, if you wish.

.

8)  KAEL DRAKKEL (Old):  You need to acquire at least one (1) Blood Flowers (they do not stack).

They are sold by Bjorak Stonefist, who is at the top of the spectator stands at the arena (/waypoint 935, 1150, -55).

Faction (Kromzek) can be an issue. I suggest you shroud as a Rogue, grab some funds and empty bags from your bank and then use Hide / Sneak from behind Bjorak Stonefist to buy the Blood Flowers.

The Blood Flowers are tradable, so you can also acquire them from other Players / The Bazaar, if you wish.

.

9)  RATHE COUNCIL CHAMBERS:  You need to acquire at least two (2) Koraskian Sprigget.

These can only be foraged in this zone.

The Koraskian Sprigget are tradable, so you can also acquire them from other Players / The Bazaar, if you wish.

.

10)  THE GROUNDS:  You need to acquire at least two (2) Treant Flower.

These drop from 'Treant' MoB's in multiple zones, and I had the best luck in this zone.

The Treant Flower are tradable, so you can also acquire them from other Players / The Bazaar, if you wish.

.

11) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: Now for some crafting.

In an Oven, make at least (1) Phoenix Dough (Bottle of Milk, Cup of Flour, Phoenix Egg; Baking 151).

In a Brew Barrel, you need to make at least one (1) Clear Absinthe (Anise, Bottle, Fennel, Grande Wormwood and a Water Flask; Brewing 250), and then use it to make at least one (1) Rose Absinthe (Clear Absinthe and a Corn Rose; Brewing 300).

Next, in a Brew Barrel, make at least one (1) Tumpy Tonic (Kiola Nut and Water Flask; Brewing 135).

NOTE: Do NOT make any further combines, as the next combines are task steps and will only update when you get to those steps (you can not pre-make them).

.

12) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: You are looking for Jimothy the Delicious, who is a gingerbread man, near the main bank (/waypoint 275, 295).

Hail him and follow along, or just try saying, 'Lend a matchmaking hand,' to get this task (it has a 12-hour time limit).

Next, head to the very top of the Library and hail Grand Librarian Maelin, then say 'Borrowed' and then say 'Dreadspire Keep.'

He will teleport you to the next zone.

.

13) DREADSPIRE KEEP: Head into the zone to the Library (straight in, turn left and wend around to the 'Dance Hall' or 'Ballroom' area... the Library is across the way through some doors).

NOTE: If you need a key to open the Library Doors, the guide on how to get the key is outlined here.

You need to kill 'tome' or 'book' MoB's until you get five (5) virtual 'Recipe Page' ('Bloodstained') updates (these are not actual items).

Go back to where you teleported in and you will see that Grand Librarian Maelin also came along for the ride.

Hail him and follow along and he will teleport you back to the top of the Library in the Plane of Knowledge.

.

14) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: Turn back to Grand Librarian Maelin, then say and then say 'House of Thule Library.'

He will teleport you to the next zone.

.

15) THE LIBRARY: Head into the zone.

You need to kill 'tome' or 'book' MoB's until you get five (5) virtual 'Recipe Page' ('Smudged') updates (these are not actual items).

Go back to where you teleported in and you will see that Grand Librarian Maelin also came along for the ride.

Hail him and follow along and he will teleport you back to the top of the Library in the Plane of Knowledge.

.

16) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: Turn back to Grand Librarian Maelin, then say and then say 'Erudin Burning.'

He will teleport you to the next zone.

.

17) ERUDIN BURNING: Below / near you you will see a tower.

Go inside and kill 'tome' or 'book' MoB's until you get five (5) virtual 'Recipe Page' ('Singed') updates (these are not actual items).

Go back to where you teleported in and you will see that Grand Librarian Maelin also came along for the ride.

Hail him and follow along and he will teleport you back to the top of the Library in the Plane of Knowledge.

OPTIONAL: Teleport back to the Plane of Knowledge on your own, if you can, to avoid having to go back down the elevator shaft, and save some time.

.

18) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: Head back to Jimothy the Delicious.

Hail him and he will teach you two (2) new temporary recipes, that will show up in an Oven and a Brew Barrel.

Head to an Oven and search up the recipe for Magically Delicious Cookies (Almonds, Bottle of Milk, Butter, Cup of Sugar x 4, Dried Vanilla Beans & Phoenix Dough; Baking 15) and make one (1)... and only one (1).

Head to a Brew Barrel and search up the recipe for Magically Delicious Sweetwater (Cup of Sugar x 4, Rose Absinthe, Tumpy Tonic & Vodka; Brewing 15) and make one (1)... and only one (1).

NOTE: After the Quest has ended, these recipes will be 'forgotten' (disappear from your recipe lists in those same devices). If you plan to do this quest again, before you do the combines, add it them to you  'favorite' recipe listings. This way, they should show back up on your 'favorite' list the next time you do this Quest and help expedite the combine process.

.

19) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: Head back to Jimothy the Delicious.

Hail him and he will give you Jimothy's Flower Vase.

Inside Jimothy's Flower Vase, combine Blood Flowers, Corn Rose x 2, Drench Flower x2, Koraskian Sprigget x2 & Treat Flower x2, to make Jimothy's Beautiful Bouquet.

Once done, hail Jimothy the Delicious again for another update.

.

20) SUREFALL GLADE: You are looking for Bemienn Grinrain, who in front of the building near the waterfall.

Standing near him you will also see Maghee Thunderwood.

BONUS ITEM: Before you do any turn ins, it is at this point you can acquire the 'bonus' item, Jimothy Junior (a familiar). If you need or want this item, you need to do the hand ins to Maghee Thunderwood. This will spawn an angry Jimothy the Delicious, who will attack you (he is a reasonably tough adversary). You need to kill him and loot the Jimothy Junior. Otherwise, do the hand ins with Bemienn Grinrain.

The hand ins are in this order: Beautiful Bouquet, Magically Delicious Cookies and then the Magically Delicious Sweetwater.

To avoid  a potential bug, turn in the items in this order: Jimothy's Beautiful Bouquet, then the Magically Delicious Cookies and then the Magically Delicious Sweetwater.

Once done, the task ends and you will get twenty (20) Commemorative Coin. It has a lock out timer of six (6) hours, before you can do it again, if you wish to do so.

Defending Knowledge (Group)

1) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: You are looking for Bjerg Sen the Tranquil, who is a Centaur near the Plane of Tranquility Stone.

This is a group task that requires minimum of three (3) Characters.

Hail him and follow along, or just try saying, 'Help,' to get this task (it has a 6-hour time limit).

Next, say 'Ready' to zone into the instance.

.

2) PLANE OF TRANQUILITY: DEFENDING KNOWLEDGE: You are here to defend MoB's from the various Planes from getting to the Plane of Knowledge portal (Book portal).

First up, there is the optional step (not required) to chose a 'Blessing' from one (1) of the eight (8) NPC's you will see up the hill, outside the building where the Plane of Knowledge Portal is located.

You can chose only one 'Blessing,' which will  apply to your entire group (different Players can not make different choices). Talk to any of the NPC's and follow along to get whichever 'Blessing' you want.

The 'Blessings' are:

BONUS ITEM: There is a second 'optional' step (prevent all, 100%, of the MoB's from getting to the Plane of Knowledge Portal. If you do, the chest at the end will contain one (1) Miniature Horn of Unity, which is a 30-second group clicky buff (+200 Mana, Endurance and Hit Point Regen, +2K Spell Damage Shield, +600 Damage Shield).

.

3) PLANE OF TRANQUILITY: Next, you will also see a large cornucopia type horn (the 'Horn of Unity') in the same area.

Go up and click on it to start the event, and initiate the first wave.

MoB's can include a random mix of a oozes, (stomachs), undead rats, mind worms, war wraiths, nightmare horses, boar beasts, underbulks, lava golems, puslings, (doomfire), mosquitoes, flies, ogres, ravens, mephits. fire elementals and the like.

Each wave will get a little tougher than the previous wave (hit harder). Mez, Stun and Root work on all of them.

MoB's will emanate from the zone they apply to. Each 'wave' will come in two (2) separate spawns (they don't all spawn and attack at the same time), so be ready for that.

You will now need to do the following...

There is another optional step, after the waves are defeated, to go back and hail the NPC you obtained a 'Blessing' from (if you did that).

Now hail Bjerg Sen the Tranquil, to finish up.

Don't forget to open / loot the chest.

REWARD: Five (5) Commemorative Coin. It has a lock out timer of six (6) hours, before you can do it again, if you wish to do so.

This is a group task, but you can get it with just one (1) Character.

Hail him and follow along, or just try saying, 'Tool,' to get this task (it has a 6-hour time limit).

Next, say 'Farm' to zone into the instance.

.

2) WEST KARANA: SPRUCING UP SHAKEY: You are looking for Cleet Miller, who is in a barn by a big plowed field to the southwest (/waypoint -2250, -4125).

Hail him and follow along for a task update.

You now need to acquire:

.

3) WEST KARANA: SPRUCING UP SHAKEY: You are looking for Spinner, who is inside a building to the east (/waypoint -1475, -12855).

You need to acquire a Crystal Harvester Mold from Spinner, and there are two ways to do it.

After talking to Spinner, and saying 'friendship,' you can go assassinate his competition, Ollysa Bladefinder (in a building to the northwest) and Maldin the Old (in a building near the northwest corner of the zone, /waypoint 460, -4220).

Or, you can chose the more expedient option and say 'enemies' to Spinner, kill him, and then loot the Crystal Harvester Mold.

Either way, outside of the building where you found Spinner, is a Forge.

Use the forge, make a Crystal Harvester (Click Effect: Till Soil), using Burled Wood x6, Tin Ore x2, Faceted Crystal & Crystal Harvester Mold (Smithing 15).

NOTE: This is a learned recipe. If you plan to do this Quest again, you can add it to your 'favorite' recipes, to expedite the combine next time around.

.

4) WEST KARANA: SPRUCING UP SHAKEY: Head back to the plowed field where Cleet Miller was.

Near the barn you should see a pile of rocks (soil) called untilled rocky soil.

Target the untilled rocky soil and click the Crystal Harvester on it.

Once done, go over to Cleet Miller in the barn and hail him.

.

5) WEST KARANA: SPRUCING UP SHAKEY: You are now looking for Chief Goonda, who is by a stone henge type circle, to the mid-north of the zone (/waypoint -675, -9150).

Hail Chief Goonda and he will ask for an Immaculate Animal Pelt (this is not the same Immaculate Animal Pelt that is used in other Tailoring recipes, and only drops in this mission).

The Immaculate Animal Pelt can drop from bears, lions and / or wolves, that you can find roaming to the south, in mid-zone.

Once you have a Immaculate Animal Pelt, take it back to Chief Goonda and give it to him.

This will spawn An Ancient Spirit, that will attack you. Defeat it.

Once you win, give An Ancient Spirit your Crystal Harvester, and you will get back an Enchanted Crystal Harvester.

.

6) WEST KARANA: SPRUCING UP SHAKEY: Head back to the plowed fields, to the untilled rocky soil.

Target the untilled rocky soil and click the Enchanted Crystal Harvester on it, to break it up and then loot the Shimmering Hay.

Now go over to Cleet Miller and hail him to finish the task.

BONUS ITEMS: At this point, a number of should have appeared untilled rocky soil in the plowed field. Use your Enchanted Crystal Harvester on as many of them as you can, until the Enchanted Crystal Harvester breaks. Each untilled rocky soil has a chance of dropping one (1) of two (2) possible 'bonus' items... a We'er Harvester (Clicky to summon a food, Burned Black Bread) or a Bigger Belt of the River (Clicky to summon a drink, Murky Globe of Water). You may have to do more than one (1) mission to get them both.

REWARD: Five (5) Commemorative Coin. It has a lock out timer of six (6) hours, before you can do it again, if you wish to do so.

.

7) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: But wait! The mission is over, but you may notice that you still have the Shimmering Hay and are wondering what it is for.

Well, head back over to Reebo Leafsway & Shakey Scarecrow.

You may notice that Shakey Scarecrow looks a bit dilapidated, and the Quest is called 'Sprucing Up Shakey,' after all.

So, use the Shimmering Hay to spruce up Shakey Scarecrow (give the Shimmering Hay to Shakey Scarecrow), and make him look brand new (see below video)!
