ANNIVERSARY LORE
There were no Anniversary Events before the 5th Year of EverQuest. However, upon the 5th Anniversary of EverQuest, a temporary, special Anniversary event was added to the game. After that, it became an annual tradition in EverQuest, with new Anniversary related events being added each year, as well as the old ones being reactivated right along beside them. Anniversary Events generally start around March 16th (EverQuest was launched March 16, 1999), and continue to as late as mid-May. There are now so many Anniversary Events that they are implemented / divided in two parts... "Modern" events (14th Anniversary and forward) and "Legacy" events (5th to 13th Anniversary). The "Legacy" events do not award Commemorative Coins, but do include Fabled MOB's (introduced in 2008). These events do not start until near mid-April. The "Modern" events start right away and generally award Commemorative Coin, which is a specialty coin that can used to buy special items with "a jubilant merchant" in the Plane of Knowledge (near the Nexus stone, and the stuff ain't cheap!). The Mechanical Fortune Teller (near the Crescent Reach stone) was added to the Plane of Knowledge, to help direct you to the events (by year), because now, there are a lot of them. Just hail her and follow along. Download and unzip this file to the 'storyline' folder of your EverQuest directory to have access to a generic, simplified version of these quests, in game, via your Story Window (Alt N)! NOTE: This file can be updated in the event of typo corrections, errors and new events, so you may need a fresh download / install every so often. |

10TH ANNIVERSARY
This is a series of sixteen (16) tasks, collectively referred to as the “EQ Tenth Anniversary Deity Favors.” They reward various items, to include clickies, potions and even a title!
This task series was introduced for the 2009 10th Anniversary… thus they are special limited-time seasonal tasks. They normally reappear every year during the anniversary period.
The Dragons, Dragons, Dragons raid event was also added to the game at this time, but is not an actual Anniversary event.
It does not matter what order you do these deity-related tasks in. These tasks can generally be soloed (especially at Level 85+ with a mercenary). They simply require time and running about!
You can get all the quests at the same time (if you have room for 16 tasks). I do suggest that you acquire each task as you come across the related NPC task-giver, as it will work to save time when you visit zones related to multiple tasks. While these tasks can (and do) involve the common zones… and as hard as you may try, there is no “secret” process that will negate the need for some repeat zone hopping!
For that reason, I have simply chosen to outline each task separately.
!!! BIG NOTE !!!: MOB’s are often “scaled” to your current level, and especially so the spawned MOB’s. If I note a spawned MOB as Level 85, you can generally assume that the MOB you will face will spawn at a level equal to or close to your actual level. In short, if you are Level 80, you might assume the spawned MOB will also be Level 80.

REWARDS
Celebratory Fireworks Caster: (Magic, Lore, No Trade, Wright 0.1; Clicky Effect: Firework of Celebration (casts up fireworks of a type determined by the deity). NOTE: This item is can be awarded with every task, but once you claim it, it will not be awarded again (since you all ready have it). It is a "clicky" item that activates a fireworks display. The type of fireworks it activates is determined by the 'Fireworks Focus' item below (that you possess, even if it is in your bank, a house, Dragon's Hoard...).
.
Fireworks Focus of XXXXXX: (XXXXXX = Deity reference) (Magic, Lore, No Trade, Weight 0.1; Clicky Effect of Change Focus. Click any 'Fireworks Focus' item and it will transform in to a different 'Fireworks Focus' item (in a set sequence), if you have earned other 'Fireworks Focus' item variants as noted below. This item, in whatever variant you currently have, decides what type of fireworks the Celebratory Fireworks Caster will cast.
NOTE: You will only get a single “Fireworks Focus” item. After you get your first one, subsequent tasks will “flag you” to be able to click this item and “change” its focus. Basically, when you click it, it will rotate (in a set sequence) from one deity focus to another (for those you are “flagged” for). This item has sixteen variant names, where “XXXXXXX” can be: Bertoxxulous, Brell Serilis, Bristlebane, Cazic-Thule, Erollisi Marr, Innoruuk, Karana, Mithaniel Marr, Prexus, Quellious, Rallos Zek, Rodcet Nife, Solusek Ro, The Tribunal, Tunare; or Veeshan.

.
Bristlebane’s Party Generator (Magic, Lore, No Trade; Weight 1.0; Unlimited clicky effect of “Start the Party”). This will summon a stack of Bristlebane’s Party Pie (Magic, No Trade, Weight 0.2; 1 Charge clicky effect of “Throw Pie,” which will throw a pie at another player… for silly fun).
.

4) Once you answer five (5) questions correctly and time has not expired, you win!
You can now claim your reward’s of a Celebratory Fireworks Caster (see top of page), Fireworks Focus of Veeshan (see top of page, this also gains you a character flag), Potion of Adventure II (see top of page), the Cloth Cap (see top of page), coin, XP and your choice of (1) one of several other potions.
.
1) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: Since you are all ready here, look for Fizzlethorpe Bristlebane’s Image (Level 85), who should be easily found walking the paths, putting on a fireworks show.
Hail him and follow along, or just try saying, “Challenge,” to get the task known as, “Bristlebane’s Party Favor – Bristlebane’s Favor.”
NOTE: This task will require that you “attend” a fireworks show put on by the Bristlebane's Party Machine (not targetable), in twenty (20) different zones. In order to do this, you will have to be in that zone at the right time and in the right area (Bristlebane's Party Machine is not trackable). Bristlebane's Party Machine will go from one zone to another, every real life server hour. Fortunately, he will follow a pre-set sequence of zones, allowing you to set your watch to go get the task updates. In order to get these updates, you will have to be “seen” by Bristlebane's Party Machine, meaning that you need to get pretty close to him (it is a proximity update). The steps below follows the zone-cycle (once the cycle is completed, every 20 real life hours, it will repeat again). The task steps are riddles as to what zone the update is awarded in.
NOTE: By “server” hour, I do mean a real life hour. However, this hour is not based on the real time (it is not synchronized with the “top of the hour,” so to speak). Instead, it is based on server up time for the Plane of Knowledge. To see how long the zone has been up, while in the Plane of Knowledge, simply use the /up command. Using the list below, based on how long the Plane of Knowledge zone has been running, do a little math to determine where Bristlebane's Party Machine should be.
Example, if the zone has been running 15:02:28:46, that translates to 15 Days, 2 Hours, 28 minutes and 46 seconds. Ignore the minutes and seconds. Convert the days into hours (15 x 24 = 360) and then add in the hours (360 + 2 = 362). Now divide the 362 by 20 (362 / 20 = 18.1). The answer of 18 tells you he should be in the 18th zone on the list (Dawnshroud Peaks). If not, you can check 17th zone on the list (in case he hasn't quite changed over yet) or the 19th zone on the list (on the off chance that he has just moved on).
The Party Machine Generator will, give or take five (5) minutes, change zones at the “top” of each server hour.
NOTE: While this task can feasibly be completed in under 20 hours, you will likely need several days to catch all the below steps!
.
2) You will be able to get task updates as follows (list follows the sequence that Bristlebane's Party Machine will follow)…
