BONZZ'S TRIALS OF MATA MURAM

(MPG Group Trials & AA)

This is a series of six group trials that can be done in any order.

After winning your first trial, you will gain an Alternate Advancement ability under the Omens of War tab called, "Trails of Mata Muram." 

There are six (6) levels to this AA and it does not cost you any "spent" AA -- as it a awarded to you, not purchased.

Each trial will gain you an increase of five (5) to your resist caps, for an overall increase of thirty (30), total, when completed.

These trials are NOT required for OoW progression.

NOTE: If you win a trial, you are locked out from doing the same trial again, for 24 hours. You are also locked out of all other group trials for 2 hours.

NOTE: Once you start a trial by talking to the "Master" -- you cannot add/remove any players.

THE MISSIONS (AKA TRIALS)

1) TRIAL OF DESTRUCTION

1) MURAMITE PROVING GROUNDS: You are looking for the Projection of Power (Level 75), in the far north east section of the zone.

Form your group and make your way to him. A group with good DPS is recommended.

Hail him and follow along, or just try saying, "Destruction" to get this trial.

2) MURAMITE PROVING GROUNDS: TRIAL OF DESTRUCTION: Zone in, tank last.

To start the event, speak to the Master of Destruction (Level 71) (keyword "Destruction.").

3) This is a straight forward trial of slaughter.

You need to kill 20 MOB's within 15 Minutes! They spawn up to three at a time.

The MOB's are A Mischievous Girplan, A Shambling Undead, A Viscous Dragorn and An Unstable Elemental (all Level 65).

They hit for about 500 or less. Banishing the elementals counts as a kill.

Don't be surprised if you kill fast enough that you have to wait on the next wave. Further, the waves seemed timed to make it close (2 minutes or less left when last wave spawns, no matter how fast you kill each wave).

4) Once you have killed the 20 MOB's, the Master of Destruction will attack.

Attack him right off, as he hits harder as time passes. He hits for up to 1.4K and quads. Kill him for the win.

5) Once he dies, the Shell of the Master (Level 1) will spawn on the center platform, with loot for the group to roll on.

2) TRIAL OF EFFICIENCY

1) You are looking for the Projection of Arcana (Level 75), located in the far northwest section.

Speak to to Arcana to get this group trial (keyword "Efficiency.").

2) Zone in (tank last) and speak to the Master of Efficiency (Level 71), to start the trial, when ready.

Position the group on the back wall, between the two pedestals there.

3) Once started, this trial will involve killing (4) four waves of four (4) MOB's.

All of the MOB's are slowable and you have (4) four minutes to kill each wave (per wave, not the whole event).

During this process, every five (5) minutes, an AoE will go off. Cure it as quickly as possible! It's a 3.5K mana drain, 3.5K Endurance drain, with a 20 HP/Mana/Endurance DoT.

With a slower, good tank, decent off-tank, a mezzer, a decent healer (or kiter) and reasonable DPS, this is not too difficult.

The MOB's are A Muramite Soldier (Level 68) (usually two of them), An Elite Muramite Soldier (Level 69) and a Muramite Commander (Level 69).

Kill the Muramite Commander first, with an off-tank focusing on the An Elite Muramite Soldier (kill this second) and the two A Muramite Soldier can be mezzed (kill last).

4) Once you have killed all four waves, the Enforcer of Efficiency (Level 71 to 72) will spawn and attack you.

Kill him for the win. He hits for up to about 1.5K and can quad.

5) Once he dies, the Shell of the Master (Level 1) will spawn on the center platform, with loot for the group to roll on.

3) TRIAL OF FEAR

1) MURAMITE PROVING GROUNDS: You are looking for the Projection of Mind (Level 75), at the far north center of the zone.

Speak to Mind to get this group mission and zone in, tank last (keyword "Fear.").

2) MURAMITE PROVING GROUNDS: MASTERY OF FEAR: Set up on the back wall between the two platforms.

Players with some form of "fear" spell will be necessary for this trial.

When ready, speak to the Master of Fear (Level 71) to start the trial.

3) The goal is to survive the random non-stop MOB's.

There are four (4) MOB's (a wolf type, an elemental type, a skeleton type and a dragorn type -- all Level 60 to 70 with "Image" in their name), on four of the pedestals along the wall. They will spawn/summon forth MOB's, one at a time (each -- you can and will have multiple  MOB's))

You need to kill the MOB's with "Fearless" in their name. These can be mezzed, but not feared, so they need to be tanked.

All other MOB's need to be "feared" (any type of fear spell works, but use the best one you have).

If you don't keep them feared, they will attack. Thus it is important to keep them at bay, until you are ready for them.

4) Once the timer runs out and your group is still alive, you win.

The Shell of the Master (Level 1) will spawn on the center platform with loot for the group.

4) TRIAL OF INGENUITY

1) MURAMITE PROVING GROUNDS: You are looking for the Projection of Realms (Level 75), in the far east/middle of the zone.

Speak to Realms to get this group mission and then zone in, tank last (keyword "Ingenuity.").

2) MURAMITE PROVING GROUNDS: THE MASTERY OF INGENUITY: When ready, speak to the Master of Ingenuity (Level 71) to start this trial.

3) This trial involves killing MOB's to obtain the bane ("suffusive") weapons that you will need to kill the Master of Ingenuity (Level 71), with.

He can be killed with spam pets and normal weapons, but he is very very hard to kill that way (low damage from weapons, etc.). He can be slowed (disease).

Instead, have the tank start the trial and simply off-tank the Master of Ingenuity while everyone else works on getting bane weapons (keep him in the center).

Bane weapons are obtained by killing the other MOB's on the surrounding pedestals, to include A Dragorn Armsman and A Stoic Dragorn Armskeeper, both Level 68. They are easy kills.

4) Once you have the weapons, it should be easy enough to finish off the Master of Ingenuity, for the win.

Once you win the last wave for the win, the Shell of the Master (Level 1) will spawn on the center platform with loot for the group.

5) TRIAL OF SUBVERSION

1) MURAMITE PROVING GROUNDS: You are looking for the Projection of Tactics (Level 75), in the south east section of the zone.

Speak to Tactics to get this group mission (keyword "Subversion.").

2) MURAMITE PROVING GROUNDS: MASTERY OF SUBVERSION: Zone in, tank last.

Speak to the Master of Subversion (Level 71), when ready, to start this trial.

3) This trial is all about stealth. It is a very easy trial, but you need the right people, who have their LDoN trap spells.

A good group is a Cleric, a tank, an Enchanter, a Rogue, a Ranger and a DPS.

Once you start the trial, chests will spawn around the room, between the pedestals. There are three kinds of chests (all level 1) -- called A Hexed Chest (for the Ranger to open, or any priest type), A Spellbound Chest (for the Enchanter to open, or any caster) and An Ironbound Chest (for the Rogue to open, or a Bard).

Simply run around to the chests, staying near the wall, inspect, disarm, open and loot (in that sequence). Each chest will contain either a Copper Seal of Subversion, Silver Seal of Subversion or a Gold Seal of Subversion (all are No Trade, Weight 0.1),. They are valued at 10, 20 and 30 points, respectively. Your goal is 300 points, in 10 minutes. As you loot them, you will see a running total in the chat window, via an emote.

Meanwhile, the other players remain on the pedestal by the Master of Subversion. The Cleric has the job of pacifying the roaming guards (A Dragorn Guardian and A Dragorn Patroller, both Level 65 to 68). This keeps their aggro range low so they will not aggro the players on the middle pedestal or the players running along the wall looting chests.

I have seen as many as four at a time walking from the steps, around the pedestal to platforms and them pathing back. They are easy to avoid if you pay attention. If not, it is the tanks job to grab it and tank it up on the center pedestal.

4) Once you reach 270 points, make a point not to loot any more gold ones (30 points). Strive to hit 290.

Once you are at 290, everyone should go to the back wall before looting the last one, as it will activate the Master of Subversion.

This does two things, it allows time to med/buff and for the roaming guards to despawn, because the Master will not aggro from that far away and you can pull him when you are ready.

When ready, pull the Master of Subversion and kill him for the win. It's a straight up battle and not too difficult.

Once you win the last wave for the win, the Shell of the Master (Level 1) will spawn on the center platform with loot for the group.

6) TRIAL OF WEAPONRY

1) MURAMITE PROVING GROUNDS: You are looking for the Projection of Body (Level 75), located in the far western/middle area.

Hail him and follow along to get this group mission (keyword being "Weaponry.").

2) MURAMITE PROVING GROUNDS: MASTERY OF WEAPONRY: Zone in, tank last.

Speak to the Master of Weaponry (Level 75), when ready, to start this trial.

3) This is a straight forward kill four (4) MOB's... sort of.

The four MOB's are all ready standing about the pedestals.

They are all Level 70 and weak to certain attacks only. All other attacks only result in insignificant damage. Use the right attack, and you do very significant damage (read that, exaggerated critical type damage). However, each MoB has a major boatload of hit points.

A winning group will consist of a good healer, a good slower, good caster DPS and good melee with weapons of each type.

The MOB's will become active at random (one at a time). They are Granite Stoneguardian (weak to BLUNT), Hulking Bazu (weak to SLASH), Steelshock (weak to Direct Damage/Nuke spells) and Hemkai the Ascendant (weak to PIERCE).

4) If you manage to kill all four in fifteen (15) minutes, you win and the Shell of the Master (Level 1) will spawn on the center platform with loot for the group.
