SPELL: LAST RITES
This is also known as the task "Fulfill Jarzarrad's Prophecy in the Ruins of Illsalin" -- one of the steps in the Depths of Darkhollow task.
The Depths of Darkhollow expansion brought new Paladin spells with it.
The Level 68 spell requires that you undertake and win a series of tasks/missions.
UPDATE: This spell can now be crafted.
......................................................
NOTES ABOUT DoD TASKS/MISSIONS:
You normally are not allowed to choose a "Hard" version of any tasks/missions until after you have completed (won) the "normal" version or have completed the entire arc. You can get in a hard mission, however, if you are grouped with someone who can get that option.
You cannot skip tasks/missions as you will not be offered the next task/mission until you have completed the previous one. You can, however, get task/missions out of sequence if you are grouped with someone who can get a mission that is out of your "sequence."
Don't worry if you go out of order, as these missions do not have to be done in sequence.
Most missions provide a loot item... either from a chest that appears or from the corpse of a named MOB. Most missions also reward each group member with a specific reward item that will appear on their cursor.
WARNING! Before the final step is accomplished -- make sure no one is zoning in any way (gating, zoning, dying...). If they are -- they will not get credit for the mission nor the reward.

SPELL: LAST RITES: No Trade, Magic, Weight 0.1 (Alteration, Cast Time 6.0, Mana Cost 300, Duration 15 Minutes, Self-Only)
.
STATUS: Confirmed and completed!
THE QUEST(S)
1) A ROGUES TRUST (aka 68.1):
.
2) SCOUTING THE CITY (aka 68.2):
.
3) BUILDING THE DISGUISE (aka 68.3):
Stoneroot Falls: Go back to Kelliad. Hail him and follow along to get the Mission/Task, with the key phrase being, "I am ready."
NOTE: There is no Hard option for the Level 68 Tasks/Missions.
Now run over to Meldrek. Hail him and follow along, with the key phrase being, "I am ready."
Each group member will have to speak to Meldrek to get in the instanced version of Stoneroot Falls.
Stoneroot Falls: The City of Xill: Once in the zone in, you will see Meldrek is inside as well. You will have a series of steps to do, in a certain sequence (or simultaneously).
First up -- pull and kill the various Witheran MOB's from the water near the zone in (they are all in the are of Level 70, give or take two levels). You need to kill at least 10 (ten) of them.
While you are at it, you will also need to loot one (1) Chunk of Witheran Meat (No Trade, Magic, Weight 0.0).
Next, find your way to the Drachnids. They are to the left of the zone in, across the water.
You will need to kill no less than twenty-five (25) of the various Drachnids (all are in the area of Level 70, give or take two levels). In doing this, clear your way into the Drachnid Fort (through the main gate) and over to the far right corner, behind the structure there.
You will also have to kill 10 (ten) of the A Diligent Silkweaver (Level 65 to 72).
While you are killing those MOB's, you will also need to loot four (4) Layer of Drachnid Skin (No Trade, Magic, Weight 0.0) and four (4) Finely Threaded Drachnid Silk (No Trade, Magic, Weight 0.0).
Your next target is right there near you at the top of the ramp in the middle. The Chamber Guardian (Level 73-plus) can be a very rough battle. Make sure the MOB's near you are dead and not about to respawn (they respawn in about 10 minutes or so). Pull him towards the group off the ramp to take him on, as he has a graviflux type spell (be sure the group is levitated), as you want to be tossed into the wall, rather than out in the open to acquire possible adds. He cannot be slowed, stunned or mezzed. He has about three AoE's -- one of which is a mana drain (50 per tick), one is a root and one is a snare with 450 HP damage per tick. He self-buffs, so dispelling him is a good idea. He can and will summon. Even more, he flurries and enrages. The worst part is that he will start out by attacking the tank with under 400 damage per blow. During the fight -- as he looses health -- the ground will shake (you will know what I mean when you see it). He will then begin to hit harder each time this happens. He will increase to an 800-ish hitter, to a 1.5K hitter and ultimately -- to a 3K hitter! He will reach the 3K point at about 25% health. The key to this battle, really, is a solid tank, a solid healer (big mana pool) and some serious DPS. The DPS may be the biggest key -- as it will allow the healer to better keep the tank alive for the duration and not run out of mana.
Once he is dead, there will be a random loot item on his corpse along with a Drachnid War Helmet (No Trade, Lore, Weight 0.0). You must loot the helmet.
Make your way back to Meldrek. Tell him, "I am ready to go." to zone out.
Each group member must speak with him to zone out.
.
4) THE SEARCH FOR ILLSURAS (aka 68.4):
Stoneroot Falls: Go back to Kelliad. Hail him and follow along to get the Mission/Task. I believe the key phrase was, "I am ready to search."
NOTE: There is no Hard option for the Level 68 Tasks/Missions.
Now run over to Meldrek. Hail him to complete one of the steps (you do not use him to zone in this time).
Now head for the Drachnid fort area, further past Meldrek and across the water. You should see a marker on your compass to lead you to the instanced zone. The zone in is located in the very back and center of the Drachnid Fort (at the top of the ramp there). You can probably get there with just invisible and levitate -- by sticking to the wall (on left) -- running up the wall and over the Drachnid Fort wall and continuing on to the back corner and then running over to the ramp and then zone in. Just watch for MOB's that might see through invisible (undead).
The Chamber of Xill (aka Prince's Manor): Once in the zone in, you will appear as a Drachnid. This is the "disguise" that you made from the last mission. However -- this is NOT a "Monster Mission."
The MOB's will not aggro on you... yet.
WARNING! Do NOT under any circumstance change your appearance (illusion) -- as it will remove your Drachnid disguise and it can cause the mission to fail. I say this because some players habitually (especially Necromancers, Enchanters, Shadowknights and others) like to cast illusions on themselves.
First up, walk through the doorway there and you will see Overseer Renok (Level 70). Go up and hail him. He will make some silly comment. Wait a second and he will tell you to follow him... so follow him.
He will lead you to a room with Commander Hithrav (Level 73). As you go in this room, have the group veer to the right corner and stop there.
Renok will speak with Hithrav, who will see that you are disguised and your Drachnid disguise will drop.
Root/mezz Renok and then take out Hithrav -- who can AoE Rampage and seems immune to slow. He wasn't too tough. After he is dead, take out the Renok, who is just a normal MOB, really.
Now the group must make it s way to a "Monolith" (it's a headstone type rock).
Go back out to the hallway you came from and go left around the bend until you go into a cave type tunnel. Pull and kill the various Drachnid MOB's along the way (they are all Level 65-ish). They hit for under 500 and were cake, really.
Once to the cave, have someone pull MOB's from under the water until the room under the water is clear.
Now go in the room (fully underwater here). Click the monolith and you will suddenly face five (5) MOB's (that spawn and attack) all at once. Crowd Control will be key here, but they are no tougher than the regular MOB's noted above.
After they are dead -- go back up out of the water into the cave and you will see that the door there near the water is now open.
Make your way straight in to the dead end through that door (no turns) -- to a "jail" area, killing as you go. In one of the cells is what looks like a broken chest. With some effort you will be able to click it through the bars and get an emote.
Now head back into the water. You will now notice -- under the water -- that a doorway on the left is now open.
Pull and kill in that direction until you get back up into a room.
Once in that room, you will see another waterway (on the right/ahead as you come into the room). You will see that the right side underwater doorway is open. Inside you will find four (4) MOB's.
First -- go in and hail Illsuras (Level ??). When you do this, she will be killed right away. No worries -- this does n0t loose the mission.
Now attack and kill Protector Iknar and Protector Vrek (both are under Level 70). They were no tougher than the regular MOB's.
Upon attacking them, Prince Drillien (Level 73) will simply run off (he will not attack).
Once they are a dead, A Musty Chest (Level 1) will appear. Open it and you will find a random loot item and Ilsuras' Dagger of Contempt (Lore, No Trade, Weight 0.0). You have to loot the dagger.
No go back to the previous room and click the orbs you see there. One of them will activate a "hidden" portal.
Before you step inside the portal area that appears, make sure you are invisible and/or ready for aggro, as it will port you back out into Stoneroot Falls at the top of the ramp that you zoned in from (there is always a MOB there).
.
5) Rage of Kelliad:
Stoneroot Falls: Go back Kelliad. Hail him and follow along to get the Mission/Task. I believe the key phrase was, "I will aid you."
NOTE: There is no Hard option for the Level 68 Tasks/Missions.
Now run over to Meldrek. Hail him and follow along or just try saying, "I will emerge victorious."
Prince's Manor: Once you zone in you will see a pool of water. You want to pull from the left tunnel, under the water.
Your first objective needs to be killing seven (7) A Royal Protector (Level 69-plus). Pull them from the water at first, then go through the water to the next room and post up in the right or left corner to pull and kill the rest of them.
There are no respawns here.
After they are dead, only Prince Drillien (Level 73-plus) should remain.
You need to attack and kill him at his spawn spot. Pulling him away (even a little) can cause him to gate/tether back and heal.
The Prince is immune to changes in run speed, summons, hit up to 2K and quads. It's a good battle.
During the fight, two A Drachnid Assistant (Level 70) will appear nearby -- but they do not and will not aggro, so leave them alone (no AoE).
Once he is dead, a random loot item will be on his corpse for the group to roll on.
He also drops Head of Prince Drillien (Lore, No Trade, Weight 0.0), which must be looted.
Stoneroot Falls: Go back Kelliad. Give him the Head of Prince Drillien to finish the task.
Paladins will receive:
.
NOTE: There is a fifth leg of this series, but it is a raid event and it is not in anyway required for your Level 68 spell.
Undershore: Go find Brother Hidden Path (Level 70). He is up on the precipice outside the tent, in the southwest area of the zone (area of n920, p750).
Simply hail him to receive Spell: Last Rites! Gratz!
