HARDCORE HERITAGE

Hardcore Heritage Events were first introduced in 2008, and were added to in subsequent years (as recently as 2025).

These events resurface every year and generally correspond with early to mid-Summer (~May to ~August), and are active for about 3 to 6 weeks (it can vary).

HARDCORE HERITAGE ZONE INFO

• Hardcore Heritage zones literally replace the related existing, older, and lower level zones... with a new revamped higher level zones.
• The only difference is that the MoB's are boosted in level and the gear / weapon drops are also boosted in stats / effects (bonuses).
• Otherwise, Hardcore Heritage zones are exactly like the original zone (map, trash MoB's, boss MoBs, etc.)
• Camp and kill MoB's in Hardcore Heritage zones like any other normal zones (there are no new quests / missions).
• Hardcore Heritage Zones are normally released in two (2) sets, or Phases (Phase 1 & Phase 2).
• Some of Hardcore Heritage zones have, or are, instanced Raid Event zones.
• Some of the Hardcore Heritage zones have collect sets, with related Achievements.
• Some of the Hardcore Heritage zones have special gear drops (noted below).
• Some Hardcore Heritage zones have the same (old) loot drops as the original zone, in addition to the new items.

Achievement: All That Glitters is Lava

1) NAGAFEN'S LAIR (Hardcore Heritage): This is a collection set.

These ground spawns are found Nagafen's Lair, while the Hardcore Heritage version of the Zone is active. These are ground spawns found primarily around / in the Lava near Nagafen's room. 

You need to acquire and collect (click) the following:

• Squishy Sapphire;
• Amorphous Alexandrite;
• Doughy Diamond;
• Spongy Spinel;
• Pliable Pearl:
• Open Opal:
• Trapped Topaz:
• Resilient Ruby.

This achievement be completed year round, if you can acquire the items from other Players, who have extra ones.

Achievement: Bat Attack

1) NAGAFEN'S LAIR (Hardcore Heritage): This is a collection set.

These drop from a sonic bat in, while the Hardcore Heritage version of the Zone is active. These are also ground spawns found primarily around / in the the same area as a sonic bat. 

You need to acquire and collect (click) the following:

• Gooey Bat Eye;
• Ripped Jaw;
• Relentless Bat Eye;
• Chunk of Fur;
• Dissolved Kobold Arm:
• Gnome-sized Wings:
• Clutched Foot:
• Webbed Leg.

This achievement be completed year round, if you can acquire the items from other Players, who have extra ones.

Achievement: Dedicated to Flame

1) NAGAFEN'S LAIR (Hardcore Heritage): This is a collection set.

These ground spawns are found Nagafen's Lair, while the Hardcore Heritage version of the Zone is active. These are ground spawns found primarily around / in Fire Giant areas. 

You need to acquire and collect (click) the following:

• Emblem of Nagafen;
• Flaming Bat Meat;
• Giant Drumstick;
• Massive Dagger;
• Oversized Poker;
• Sweaty Turban;
• Scorched Pamphlet;
• Throwing Pebble.

This achievement be completed year round, if you can acquire the items from other Players, who have extra ones.

Achievement: Puppy Love

1) NAGAFEN'S LAIR (Hardcore Heritage): This is a collection set.

These ground spawns are found Nagafen's Lair, while the Hardcore Heritage version of the Zone is active. These are ground spawns found primarily around / in Kobold areas. 

You need to acquire and collect (click) the following:

• Bad Kobold Poem;
• Bronze Ring;
• Dried Flowers;
• Heart-Shaped Lava;
• Kissed Note;
• Picnic of Delicacies;
• Red Scarf;
• Slobbery Bone.

This achievement be completed year round, if you can acquire the items from other Players, who have extra ones.

Achievement: Reluctant Recruits

1) CASTLE MISTMOORE (Hardcore Heritage): This is a collection set.

These ground spawns are found in Castle Mistmoore, while the Hardcore Heritage version of the Zone is active. They can be found primarily inside the castle.

You need to find the following:

• Aged Note;
• Fral's Letter;
• Kirina's Diary;
• Last Diary Page;
• Mayong Mistmoore's Diary Page;
• Ripped Diary Page;
• Rist's Letter;
• Rist's Victory.

This achievement be completed year round, if you can acquire the items from other Players, who have extra ones.

Achievement: The Silence of Daylight

1) CASTLE MISTMOORE (Hardcore Heritage): This is a collection set.

These ground spawns are found in Castle Mistmoore, while the Hardcore Heritage version of the Zone is active. These can be found outside the Castle, to include on it's roof.

You need to find the following:

• Bloody Stake;
• Broken Fang Necklace;
• Holy Water;
• Nighthawk Talisman;
• Scolding Letter;
• The Talk;
• Torn Eye Patch;
• Witch's Reagents.

This achievement be completed year round, if you can acquire the items from other Players, who have extra ones.

Achievement: Timeless Fashion

1) CASTLE MISTMOORE (Hardcore Heritage): This is a collection set.

These ground spawns are found in Castle Mistmoore, while the Hardcore Heritage version of the Zone is active. These drop from Vampires.

You need to find the following:

• Black Suit Coat;
• Blood Red Corset;
• Crescent Moon Earrings;
• Draping Cape;
• Lacy Wrist Cuffs;
• Last Breath;
• Noble Robe;
• Slinky Red Dress.

This achievement be completed year round, if you can acquire the items from other Players, who have extra ones.

Achievement: Vampire Trappings

1) CASTLE MISTMOORE (Hardcore Heritage): This is a collection set.

These ground spawns are found in Castle Mistmoore, while the Hardcore Heritage version of the Zone is active. These are ground spawns in the courtyard and inside Vampire areas.

You need to find the following:

• Blood Bag;
• Broken Relic;
• Drained Rabbit;
• Gag;
• Ornate Rapier;
• Political Plottings;
• Silver Dagger;
• Valuable Gift.

This achievement be completed year round, if you can acquire the items from other Players, who have extra ones.

RAID: LADY VOX

1) PERMAFROST KEEP (Hardcore Heritage): This raid can only be done while it is active during Hardcore Heritage Events.

This raid requires at least six (6) Players, maximum of fifty-four (54) Players to request / undertake. This raid is not in an instanced zone, but it does require 'activation' (noted below).

UPDATE: There are some reports you can activate / participate this raid solo, now.

To get / activate the raid event, head towards Lady Vox's chamber and look for A Guardian of Vox. Kill A Guardian of Vox, as it must be dead to progress to the raid event (it will not respawn for at least 90-minutes).

2) PERMAFROST KEEP (Hardcore Heritage): Next, click on the rock / door to Lady Vox's chamber and the raid in active!

Here is what to expect, but with todays levels, gear and DPS, it may be possible to overlook (i.e. just DPS Lady Vox dead) the original mechanics.

• Lady Vox hits as hard as 22K and Flurries;
• Lady Vox uses 'Frigid Fright' (single target 28K per Tic Fear DoT); 'Frost Flame' (300 range directional 7K DD); 'Ice Shock' (single target Mez and Mana Drain); and 'Tail Lash' (20K 75-range directional DD);
• An emote: ('A Frost Widow descends from a crack in the ceiling and begins laying eggs.') will signal the first add, a frost widow, that will lay eggs (an egg sack - they cannot be attacked), that will hatch into more adds (a spiderling), so kill a frost widow ASAP;
• If any a spiderling hatch, if you get close, they hit for up to 11K and cast 'Crystalline Web' (-100% Spell Haste, negates Combat Skills, Root, 2-second Stun and a 14k DoT), so kill them from a distance if possible (ranged), ASAP;
• After about 70%, a frost widow should not spawn anymore;
• At 75%, Fizrik, Gibrol & Maelik will spawn (goblins), that need to be killed ASAP;
• Fizrik uses 'Mental Havoc' (30-range AoE Mana Drain & Silence), so kill him first;
• Gibrol uses 'Numbing Strike' (a 30-range AoE 18K DD and -100 Attack);
• Maelik uses 'Singe' (a 50-range AoE Knockback / Toss Up and 22K DD);
• Around 20%, Lady Vox will spawn Healing Rune, which will heal her about 4% per tick. You can destroy (kill) the Healing Rune.
• After that, finish off Lady Vox and open an ornate chest for loot!

RAID: LORD NAGAFEN

1) NAGAFEN'S LAIR (Hardcore Heritage): This raid can only be done while it is active during Hardcore Heritage Events.

This raid requires at least six (6) Players, maximum of fifty-four (54) Players to request and undertake.

You are looking for a stoic imp, who is on the island where Lord Nagafen spawns.

Hal him and follow along, or just try saying, 'Fame,' to get this Raid.

When your raid is prepared to head in, /say ready to a stoic imp, to zone into the instance.

2) NAGAFEN'S LAIR (Hardcore Heritage Raid Instance): Lord Nagafen is in his circular chamber, surrounded by Lava, up the steps (just as he is in the normal / regular static zone).

Here is what to expect, but with todays levels, gear and DPS, it may be possible to overlook some of the original mechanics.

• Have the tank run and aggro Lord Nagafen and keep him on the far wall, while most of the rest of the raid (healers, casters, ranged) stay near the bridge;
• Lord Nagafen can hit as hard as 35K;
• Lord Nagafen will use 'Empowered Flames I' (single target, +250 DS), which will progress every five (5) tics (to 'Empowered Flames IV' - 1K DS), whereupon it will become 'Uncontrolled Flames' (35K per tick DoT) and five (5) tics later it will set off 'Dragonfire Burst' (a 3 Million DD);
•  Anyone who gets this DoT needs to move to the far end of the bridge (at least 200-range away from Lord Nagafen) to let it wear off with no further progression;
• Lord Nagafen will also use 'Wing Buffet' (100-range AoE Push and up to 58K DD) (thus why most Players are at the bridge);
• Lastly, upon an emote ('All will be consumed by Flames!), Lord Nagafen will warp the the center of the room and 2 tics later, use 'Pyrestorm' (AoE 100-range 125K DD... another reason Players stay at the Bridge), after which he can be pulled back to the tank spot;
• At 80%, Aspect of Flame (it has a nasty DS) will spawn, that you need to kill... it drops a Talisman of Fire that a designated Player needs to loot, preferably a tank type;
• At 60%, Aspect of Air (it has a knockback, 54K DD) will spawn, that you need to kill... it drops a Talisman of Air that a different designated Player needs to loot, preferably a tank type;
• At 40%, Aspect of Earth (it has a 57K DD with feign death, so stand back up) will spawn, that you need to kill... it drops a Talisman of Earth that another different designated Player needs to loot, preferably a tank type;
• At 20%, Aspect of Water (it has a Push back with 19K per tick DoT) will spawn, that you need to kill... it drops a Talisman of Water that yet another different designated Player needs to loot, preferably a tank type;
• After the last 'Talisman' is looted, the four (4) designated Players need to go stand in the related 'auras' that are in the room (Fire is NE, Air is NW, Earth is SW & Water is SE);
• Once the four (4) designated Players with a 'Talisman' are in place, they all need to click their 'Talisman' at the same time;
• This will respawn the Aspect of Flame, Aspect of Air, Aspect of Earth & Aspect of Water, which the four (4) designated Players need to aggro and tank;
• Finish off Lord Nagafen first (if you don't, he can spawn more adds) and then kill Aspect of Flame, Aspect of Air, Aspect of Earth & Aspect of Water;
• Now open the Cache of the Fire Lord, for loot!

RAID: TRAKANON

1) OLD SEBILIS (Hardcore Heritage): This raid can only be done while it is active during Hardcore Heritage Events.

This raid requires at least six (6) Players, maximum of fifty-four (54) Players to request and undertake.

NOTE: At least one (1) of these players needs to be a Bard, who is carrying a variety of instruments (guitar, drum, etc.). The reason for this is noted below.

This is a hard / tricky raid, even today (as I type this), that few have actually beaten.

You are looking for a contemplative froglok (who is at the bridge before you get to Trakanon's area, to the far southeast,  /waypoint -1750, -360, -175).

Hail him and follow along, or just try saying, 'Fame,' to get this raid.

When the raid is prepared to go, /say ready to a contemplative froglok, to zone into the instance.

2) THE REINFORCED LAIR OF TRAKANON: This event does not start right (activate) away.

You are looking for Tolapumj (/waypoint -2060, -520, -135), near the Trakanon area.

Clear the zone as you head towards him (this is important, due to banishment of the tank, during the raid).

When you are set up and ready, /say Fight to Tolapumj, to get things rolling and you have to kill Tolapumj.

Here is what to expect:

• Trakanon, sebilite protector and some (more than one) sebilite juggernaut will spawn in the Trakanon event area / room;
• Trakanon will use some nasty stuff, like 'Ancestral Blinding Fear' (100-range AoE 2-second Stun with Blindness and a 110K DoT for 10 tics), 'Ancestral Envenomed Tail Strike' (Single target, but viral, 105K DoT with a 1.2K Endurance Drain and a 2.5K mana Drain), 'Ancestral Poison Breath' (every 50-seconds... PB AoE 107K DD with 95k DoT) & 'Ancestral Deadly Lifetap' (125 DD on the Player who is #1 on his aggro list, hopefully the main tank);
• Kill the golems (sebilite protector and sebilite juggernaut);
• Trakanon will also periodically banish the Main Tank to the Myconid area of the zone, and they will either need to run back or get summoned back by a Mage, so have a secondary tank ready to immediately take over when this happens;
• At 70%, reanimated Tolapumj will spawn, who will start using 'Unrelenting Control'  (a 3-tick Charm) on random players (multiple Players at the same time), so kill him ASAP;
• At 40%, Trakanon's health will lock and reanimated musician & musician's assistant will spawn at the southeast corner of the room;
• The reanimated musician uses 'Oppression of Thule' (600-range, Hit Points capped at 90%, Endurance and Mana capped to 75%) and Mire of Crimson Mists II (1,200-range, 20% Snare);
• The musician's assistant will alternate between taking damage (short lived) or being invulnerable (for about 10-minutes, perhaps), but it is said that if a Bard tanks musician's assistant and equips the same type of instrument that musician's assistant is holding, that it will unlock musician's assistant to take damage;
• While musician's assistant is alive, it will keep summoning a Sebilisian Ghost, that will go after a Player ('A Sebilisian ghost moves toward you, reaching out it's ethereal arms.') and if catches that Player, it will cast 'Unliving Touch' (1,200 Range 3 tic Invulnerability)... which doesn't sound bad, but it means that Player can not be heal, cast or attack for 18-seconds;
• Also, while the reanimated musician is alive, 'aura' MoB's Boneknight, Moldknight & Swirl of Bones will spawn about the cavern and they have aura effects of 'Blinding Bonecloud' (1,200-range Blind with a 145k DD while you are in the aura) & 'Burning Bonedust' (1,200-range 67K DD & 1.7K Mana Drain while you are in the aura);
• Boneknight, Moldknight & Swirl of Bones share the invulnerability trait with musician's assistant, and can only be damaged when musician's assistant can be damaged;
• Once you have defeated three (3) 'aura' MoB's, Trakanon's health will unlock;
• Once you kill reanimated musician, no more 'aura' MoB's will spawn;
• Finish off Trakanon;
• Open a rotted chest for loot!
