The Depths of Darkhollow expansion introduced the ability to make Slot 12 Augmentations.
The quest ties in with the Cultural Armor/Slot 11 Augmentation quests (see here).
The first book, Seals of Darkhollow, is actually obtained as part of your races cultural quests (as the 6th book of that series).
These quests are also known as the

Scrindite's Mechanoinstruction Manual

1) CORATHUS CREEP: You are looking for Bellfast (Level 70). He is at the crash site area, along the wall.
Hail him and follow along, or just try saying, "What can I help you with?" to get the task called, "Parts for Bellfast."
I was able to do this quest solo, relatively easily, at level 70.
NOTE: It may be required that you are at least Level 65 in order to obtain this quest.
NOTE: If you have trouble getting the quest, go obtain any of the various versions of a Mechanoinstruction Scraps (see #4, below) and then try again.
NOTE: It appears that there are two versions of this task. One is for melee and one for casters (those who can research). Paladin's get the melee version, outlined here. It appears the casters have to obtain these same items for a combine, but being required to loot them is not part of it.

2) Now go find Merchant Model CGXIV (Level 70). He is near the bank, near the zone line to Nektulos.
Hailing him should be sufficient.
He should give you a Pinion Gear Bundle (No Trade, Weight 1.0).

3) Go back to Bellfast.
Give him the Pinion Gear Bundle.

4) Just up over the hill from the crash site area, is an area populated by A Creep Reaper (Level 50) and other MOB's.
You need to kill MOB's here until you will have looted ten (10) different versions of the Mechanoinstruction Scraps (Weight 0.1). Plan to be here for a while.
These items will stack and are not lore, so you will get many duplicate items. There is no need to identify them, as your task will update when you loot all of the proper / needed items. Upon looting all ten items, you will complete the task and you will automatically be assigned you the next task called, "More Parts for Bellfast."

5) Go back to Bellfast.
Give him one (1) of each of the ten (10) different Mechanoinstruction Scraps.

6) Now it's back to hunting those same MOB's!
This time you need to loot two (2) Clockwork Gear (Weight 0.1) and five (5) Clockwork Pinion Gears (Weight 0.2).
These drops are not as common as the last ones and they drop more often off the spider-type MOB's (but spiders are bad faction, as an FYI).

7) Go back to Bellfast.
Give him the two (2) Clockwork Gear and the five (5) Clockwork Pinion Gears.
This will complete the second task, allowing you to request other tasks.
You will also get the Scrindite's Mechanoinstruction Manual (No Trade, Weight 0.5).
NOTE: This book is used in research combines needed to make the DoDH Augs. It is necessary to do this task to open up other tasks.

Scrindite's Senescent Scribbles
1) CORATHUS CREEP: Go back to Bellfast.
Hail him and follow along, or just try saying, "What methodical thinker?" to get the task called, "Scrindite's Senescent Scribbles."

2) UNDERSHORE: You are here to hunt the "Ragepaw" werewolf type MOB's (Level 58 to 63).
They are up on the plateau near the
You need to kill them until you have looted:
· Twenty (20) Ragepaw Hair (Weight 0.1);
· Five (5) Ragepaw Pelt (Weight 2.0).
NOTE: These items can be looted in any zone they happen to drop in.

3) CORATHUS CREEP: Go back to Bellfast.
Give him the 25 items you obtained in Step 2 (above).

4) UNDERSHORE: Back to hunting Ragepaws.
This time you need to loot:
· Twenty (20) Ragepaw Teeth (Weight 0.2);
· Five (5) Ragepaw Claw (Weight 1.5).
NOTE: These items can be looted in any zone they happen to drop in.

5) CORATHUS CREEP: Go back to Bellfast.
Give him the 25 items you obtained in Step 4 (above), to complete this task.
He will give you Scrindite's Senescent Scribbles (Weight 0.5).
This book is used in pottery combines to make the Unfired Scrindite's Hole Punch Mold (Weight 1.5).

Give him the 25 items you obtained in Step 2 (above).

You need to kill them until you loot:
· Twenty (20) Shadowmane Teeth (Weight 0.1);

Give him the 25 items you obtained in Step 4 (above), to complete this task.
He will give you Poxysmit's Precipitous Parts (Weight 0.5).
This is a book of lore/recipes.

Epicthieck's Edification Edition
1) CORATHUS CREEP: Go back to Bellfast.
Hail him and follow along, or just try saying, "Epicthieck's Edification Edition" to get the task of the same name.

2) UNDERSHORE: You are here to hunt certain MOB's for certain drops, found all about the zone.
You need to loot the following:
- Five (5) Witheran Pearl (Weight 0.1) off of various "Witheran" MOB's (Level 54);
- Five (5) Sporali Webbing (Weight 0.1) off of various "Sporali" MOB's (Level 54 to 62);
- Two (2) Green Snake Shedding (Weight 0.1) off of A Bog Snake (Level 61 to 63) or a A Razorscale Moccasin (Level 54);
- Two (2) Sand Snake Shedding (Weight 0.1) off of A Bog Snake or a A Snapjaw Moccasin (Level 54);
- Two (2) Splorgath Flotation Sack (Weight 0.1) off of A Splorgath (Level 54);
- Five (5) Necrotic Shiliskin Tentacle Bundle (Weight 6.5) off of various undead "Illsalin" shiliskin-type MOB's (Level 54 to 60).
NOTE: These items can be looted in any zone they happen to drop in.

These snakes are hard to get to and to pull. They are way up on top of a plateau.
If you levitate and run off the waterfalls from Undershore, heading towards the Hive, you will see them on top of one of the rock towers/spirals.
Kill them until you loot two (2) Stone Snake Shedding (Weight 0.1).

4) CORATHUS CREEP: You are here to hunt the various "Silverfin" MOB's (Level 45), found in the waterways.
You need to kill them until you loot two (2) Serpent Shedding (Weight 0.1).

5) Go back to Bellfast.
Give him the twenty five (25) items you looted above, to complete this task.
He will give you Epicthieck's Edification Edition (Weight 5.0), which is a lore/recipe book.

Ambleshift's Anfractuous Album
1) CORATHUS CREEP: Go back to Bellfast.
Hail him and follow along, or just try saying, "Ambleshift's Anfractuous Album" to get the task of the same name.

2) THE HIVE: You are here to hunt the various "Drachnid" MOB's (Level 67 to 73).
Kill them until you loot the following:
· Twenty (20) Drachnid Hair (Weight 0.1);
· Five (5) Drachnid Carapace (Weight 4.5).
NOTE: These items can be looted in any zone they happen to drop in.

3) CORATHUS CREEP: Go back to Bellfast.
Give him the 25 items you obtained in Step 2 (above).

4) CORATHUS CREEP: You are here to hunt A Winged Watcher (Level 71).
These gargoyle type MOB's basically line the walls of the zone.
I found I was able to solo them up on the wall, on the other side of the "safe room."
You need to kill them until you loot fifteen (15) Dreadspire Gargoyle Dust (Weight 0.1) and three (3) Dreadspire Gargoyle Granite (Weight 5.0).
NOTE: These items can be looted in any zone they happen to drop in.

5) CORATHUS CREEP: Go back to Bellfast.
Give him the 18 items you obtained in Step 4 (above), to complete this task.
He will give you Ambleshift's Anfractuous Album (Weight 5.0), a book of lore/recipes.
