UNDERFOOT RANK I, II & III SPELLS
The Underfoot expansion introduced three new spells sets.
As with previous expansions, these spells are merchant sold or obtained via faction, progression and/or quests.
In fact, this expansion got it backwards and requires a task series for Rank I spells, while the Rank II spells are dropped as trade-in gems! You may easily find yourself having the Rank II spells long before you acquire the Rank I's!
You can obtain and memorize a Rank II or even a Rank III spell before you have the lesser versions. This means you can and will skip over the lesser versions.
Rank II and Rank III spells will overwrite (replace) the lesser versions (Rank I or Rank II) of the same spells.
Your spell gems will update as well (automatic).

THE QUEST(S)

Rank One spells are obtained via “progression” so to speak, as they are awarded for completing task/mission series as noted below.
You must do the tasks in order to request the mission.
However, if you tag along with someone who can already get the final related mission, you can skip over the task series for your spell.

SPELL: GLORIOUS VINDICATION (Level 85)
1) BRELL’S REST: You are looking for Berrina Saltidnarik (Level 90), near the zone-in area.
Hail her and follow along or just say, “Willing” to get her first group mission, “Gnoll Who Your Friends Are.”

2) The entire task takes place in this zone as follows:
· Go hail Dorrvix (Level 80), who is at the center-west areas of the zone at the gnoll encampment (follow the compass). You can follow along if you would like to, but the task updates upon the hail.
· Now go hail The Gatekeeper (Level 90), who is up in the center of the bridge on the north end of the zone. Then say to him, “device” and he will give you a Mnemenic Device (Lore, No Trade, Weight 1.8). Only one group member needs this item and I suggest the tank or puller get it.
· Now go up to various non-KoS gnolls (con them first, level 80 to 86). Hand them the Mnemenic Device and they will either give you a task update (testify) or they will attack you. If they attack, kill them. You will need five updates for gnolls that testify along with four kill updates.
· Now take the Mnemenic Device back to The Gatekeeper to finish this group task.

3) Head back to Berrina Saltidnarik.
Hail her and follow along, or just try saying, “Willing” to get her second group task called, “Clash of the Kobolds.”
This can be a tough event. You will need a good tank, a good healer, a slower and a mezzer, for sure.
I suggest assistance from the side (re: mezzers/healers).
NOTE: Only one group at a time will be able to do this event, as it is an activated sequence.
Thus, if another group is doing it, you will have to wait for them to finish.

4) This event takes place in this zone, as follows:
· Go hail and follow along with Graztuk (Level 88), who is at the east-center areas of the zone at a camp there (follow the compass). If the task does not update it is probably because someone else is currently doing the event and you will have to wait in line.
· Now head to the Recloso (Level 88). He is just to the west, not far from the lava, Note the four “totems” near him. This is the event boundary area. This is where your entire group needs to be…. leaving the ring, the death of all group members or “waiting” too long between rounds will loose the event!
· When ready, hail and follow along with Recloso.
· Your group will be attacked by five (5) “raging” Kobold type MOB’s (Level 84 to 86). You need to kill all five (5). This is where the mezzer is very important, as they are all mezzable.
· After round one, speak to Recloso again to start round two. You will again face five (5) “raging” Kobold type MOB’s (Level 84 to 86). You need to kill all five (5).
· After round two, speak to Recloso again to start round three. You will again face five (5) “raging” Kobold type MOB’s (Level 84 to 86). You need to kill all five (5).
· After round three, speak to Recloso again to start round four, the final round.
· This time you will face only two (2) “raging” Kobold type MOB’s (Level 84 to 86), but they are joined by Recloso himself. Kill them all.
· Now head back and hail Graztuk to complete this group task.

5) Head back to Berrina Saltidnarik.
Hail her and follow along, or just try saying, “Willing” to get her third group task called, “Gnoll With the Punches.”

6) This mission takes place in this zone, as follows:
· You need to find Parmug (Level 88), who is in the gnoll camp on the center-west side (follow the compass).
· Hail him and follow along for a task update.
· Hail him again for another task update and your group will be attacked by two (2) A Gnoll Protector (Level 85, they can hit for up to 5K).
· Kill them for another update.
· Find Parmug, hail him again and you will be attacked by two (2) more A Gnoll Protector (Level 85).
· Kill them for another update.
· Find Parmug and hail again for another update and Parmug, himself, will then attack you.
· At about 35% health he will stop fighting and want to talk. Follow along… but be ready for a lot of adds!
· Parmug will start attacking again. Be sure you kill him for the update… but also be ready for twenty-three (23) other attackers!
· NOTE: Be sure that you loot the Tattered Runecloth (Magic, Lore, No Trade, Weight 0.6) Parmug drops.
· There are now two (2) An Unyielding Gnoll Reaver (Level 86) and twenty-one (21) A Frail Gnoll Reaver (Level 80) now on the attack. You need to kill them all.
· Once done, take the Tattered Runecloth back to Berrina Saltidnarik, to finish this group task!

7) Now go find Algera Chindlebolt (Level 88), who is near the zone-in area.
Hail and follow along, or just try saying, “Investigate” to get the mission called, “Don’t Fear the Destroyer.”

1) Rank Two Spells/Tomes are acquired as random drops in various Underfoot zones.
These spells do not drop as spells, but rather as tradeable “Trade-In” gems.
These tradable items are handed to Holdegar Bairdun (Level 86) in Brell’s Rest (near the zone-in), to get the actual spell scroll.
The name of the trade-in gem is the same as the spell you will get.

1) Rank Three Spells are acquired by way of progression.
They are obtained from Dwekvard Gravelpick (Level 88), who is in Brell’s Rest near the zone-in, by turning in various runes obtained from raids.
