RUNED DIAMOND
This quest is for a decent Aug, introduced with Serpent's Spine! This is a pretty easy task, it just requires long camping.
Also included below, are related but optional faction task, handed out by the same NPC (called the Construction of Shadows).
RUNED DIAMOND: Type 7 or 8 Augmentation; Most Slots; Magic, Lore, No trade; All/All; 50 HP, 50 MANA, 50 END; Mana Preservation VI, Required Level 66; Recommended Level 73.

THE QUEST
1) THE STEPPES: You need four drops from here.
There are actually three paths you can take to get the reward, as there are three sets of different pages that you can loot.
You will need two (2) to four (4) of each page type, depending on which ones you get.
It would probably be best just to loot all three page types to see which ones you get done first, but that isn't fair to any others in the group who may be helping and also want the reward.
While each of the pages for each set of pages have the same name, they identify differently. No worries if you can't cast Identify -- as they also look different, they just have the same name.
Basically, set up camp near the Icefall zone line and kill the various Darkfell Gnolls (Level 63 to 67). The page drops are not that common and there are, in all, nine (9) pages that can drop. You will need a set of one of the following page types:

2) VALDEHOLM:Once you have one of the complete page sets, head to Valdeholm and make sure you have a bag slot open.
You are looking for Wraithguard Lorekeeper Fenegar (Level 78), in the area of n1533, p1431.
He is basically up the left (west) side slope in the first building there.
It appears you will at least need to be dubious with him.
Hail him and follow along, or just try saying, What Ancient Tomes?" to get the task called "Ancient Tomes."
He will give you an Empty Book (Lore, No Trade, 4-Slot small, 0% Weight Reduction, Weight 1.5).

3) Now combine whichever set of pages you obtained (see Step 1) inside the Empty Book to make an Ancient Book of Krithgor (Lore, No Trade, Weight 1.0).

4) Now give the Ancient Book of Krithgor to Fenegar.
He will give you the Runed Diamond!

5) OPTIONAL: Fenegar does give out more tasks!
These tasks are optional, but they do provide nice faction hits on the much needed Wraithguard Leadership faction (needed for progression!
If you need faction, hail Fenegar and follow along or just try saying, "I can help" to get the next task called, "COnstruction of Shadows."

6) VALDEHOLM: This is an explore task.
NOTE: Levitation is a good idea to help with moving about.
NOTE: Some named MOB's can see through IVU, so be wary.
You are here to find three locations. The first two are easy as a Paladin.
However, the last two will require some help.
The locations you need to find are:
Shade-Built Temple: You can get to this with IVU. It's down the right side (far north east wing -- go right and keep north, to a room with a statue/altar);
Shade's Meeting Room: You can get to this with IVU. It's down the left side (far north west wing -- go left, keep north and take right into the big room with a big table in the middle);
You now need to get past a see invis golem, past the secret door down the far middle (north, at the statue... past here is the area known as the maze) (click the torches to open it up)... take good help;
Shade's Treasure Room: Once past the Golem, this location is on the right side (east) of the maze;
Shade's Prison: This location is on the left (west) side of the maze.
Once you manage to run to these locations and live, you win!
NOTE: You will also get a reward of Potion of Windspeed (Magic, Expendable, No Trade, Weight 0.2; Effect: 60% movement increase)!
