NECKLACE OF THE MELODIC DRAGON
aka A Message to Xygoz
This is a relatively easy and worthwhile quest, if you are over Level 65 and have access to Veeshan's Peak.

THE QUEST
1) FACTION: You will need ally faction with the CLAWS OF VEESHAN (aka CoV).
As a Paladin, I was all ready ally to ally to CoV (related to the Temple of Veeshan).
The best way to build this faction is to kill a lot of Giants in Kael Drakkel.

2) FACTION: You will need ally faction with the RING OF SCALE (aka RoS) (related to Veeshan's Peak).
I had to work on this faction. The two best ways to raise this faction are:
a) Kill everything in sight in Mistmoore Castle.
b) Repeatedly killing King Kazon Stormhammer (Level 50) in South Kaladim.
I did a combination of both. However, I must warn you that by choosing Option B -- you can/will make yourself KoS (Kill on Sight) in Kaladim.
If you have not done Epic 1.0 -- you do not want to choose this option).
Then again, Option B is also much, much faster.

3) KAEL DRAKKEL: You need to hunt and kill Protector of Zek (Level 56), in the arena area.
They randomly drop A Foreign Power Source (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.1), that you need to loot.

4) You need to obtain a Gem Cutter (Weight 15.0).
This item is player crafted with a Tinkering Skill trivial of 36.
The combine requires:
Metal Rod (Weight 0.1), which can be store bought in Abysmal Sea;
Diamond Dust (Lore, Weight 0.1), which drops off various giants in Permafrost;
Metal Fastening (Weight 0.0), which can be store bought in Abysmal Sea;
Grease (Weight 0.1), which store bought in Abysmal Sea;
Standard Bow Cam (Weight 0.3), which can be store bought in Shadow Haven;
Firewater (Weight 0.0), which is crafted with a Tinkering Skill trivial of 50.
The Firewater requires a Gnomish Spirits (Weight 0.4) and a Water Flask (Weight 0.4) -- both of which can be store bought in the Plane of Knowledge.
The Gem Cutter is not common. I simply purchased mine in the Bazaar (it set me back 7,000 Platinum).

5) VEESHAN'S PEAK: You need to find Xygoz (Level 75).
Xygoz is in the deepest part of the zone. You will need a levitate type buff to get to Xygoz, as there is a raised bridge across a lava pit. You will not be able to reach the bridge to "click" it down unless you are levitated.
Hail Xygoz and follow along, or just say, "I will deliver a message."
He will give you a Note From Xygoz (Lore, No Drop, Magic, Weight 0.1).

6) TEMPLE OF VEESHAN: You need to find Lendinoara the Keeper (Level 66 or 67).
NOTE: You will need an open container slot before doing this step!
Give Lendinoara the Keeper the Note From Xygoz and you will get a container version of Lendiniara's Trinket (Lore, No Drop, Weight 1.5, Giant, 2-Slot, 0% weight reduction).

7) Put the Gem Cutter and A Foreign Power Source in the container version of Lendiniara's Trinket and combine them to get the item version of Lendiniara's Trinket (Lore, Magic, no Drop, Weight 0.1).

8) VEESHAN'S PEAK: Go back to Xygoz.
Give Xygoz the item version of Lendiniara's Trinket and you will get the Necklace of the Melodic Dragon!
NOTE: You can turn the Necklace of the Melodic Dragon back in to Xygoz for the caster alternative, Flame-Tempered Girdle (see or click image, below).
