NOTES

Be sure to "save" your AA Options so you can just "Load" them next time around (and be sure to play the same character).

The person who plays "Dain” must survive these missions. If Dain dies, you loose.

Bad faction with the Coldain will make it a bit difficult to get to (or get in) these missions.

Classes and Levels don't matter for your group, as these are Monster Missions.

These missions do not have to be done in order, but you will need a Seal from each Mission.

The big key to these missions, in my opinion, are a good healing chain and a focus on killing the desired MOB's 1st (one at a time... assist, assist, assist).

If a healer is low on mana, it is faster to make a "suicide run," as you will reappear with 50% mana.

.

THE QUEST

1) ICEWALL KEEP: You are looking for Dain's Historian Duggans (Level 60).

He is located in the top of the castle, in a side room near the throne.

Form your group, then hail him and follow along, or just try saying, "I would like to see for myself."

The task is known as "The Founding of Thurgadin."

Everyone needs to choose one of the characters to play in the mission.

.

2) GREAT DIVIDE: THE FOUNDING OF THURGADIN: To get into this instanced zone, everyone will need to say to Duggans, "Ready."

You will teleported into the zone, near the waterfall.

Everyone needs to set up their AA and Hot Keys.

.

3) When ready, your first goal is to kill three (3) A Kromzek Chieftain.

One is located at the giant fortress near the spires, one is near the huts by the river, south of the wurm caves; and the other is near the Dragon Ring.

I would kill them in that order to save time.

They all have about four (4) helpers.

Common strategy is to kite the helpers, kill the named and then kill the helpers one at a time. However, my group was easily able to just kill them one at a time in a crowd. Just be sure to focus on one MOB and the healers do their job on the main assist.

.

4) Next up is to kill eight (8) A Drakkel Heart Wolf.

They are located back towards the water (east from the Dragon Ring), near Thurgadin.

My group just ran up to them and killed them one or two at a time, with no trouble.

.

5) Last, is to kill Kromzek Warlord (Level 70).

He is located right at the Thurgadin zone (waterfall).

My group simply medded up a little, ran up and took him out.

.

6) Once he is dead, everyone needs to loot A Shard of Wisdom (Lore, No Trade, Weight 0.0).

NOTE: This is what gives you the XP once you zone out. If you don't loot one, you don't get any XP!

There will also be a loot item for the group to roll on... as well as a Portion of a Coldain Historical Seal (No Trade, Weight 1.0).

NOTE: There will only be one (1) Portion of a Coldain Historical Seal, so in order for everyone to get one, you will have to do this mission multiple times.

.

7) ICEWELL KEEP: To zone out, simply zone out at any zone line in Great Divide and you will appear back in Icewell, at Duggans.

Give the Portion of a Coldain Historical Seal to Duggans.

He will give you the first version of Diamond Studded Coldain Historical Seal.

You will not be able to see the stats on it until you actually equip it.

.

8) Get your group together.

Hail Duggans again and follow along.

This time you want the task called "A Daring Raid."

.

9) KAEL DRAKKEL: A DARING RAID: To get into this instanced zone, everyone will need to say to Duggans, "Prepared."

You will teleported into the zone, near the Eastern Wastes zone line.

Everyone needs to set up their AA and Hot Keys.

.

12) Before you start up, go ahead and do loot rolls, because you will not have time to do this later!

Do the rolls for both the loot item and the Portion of a Coldain Historical Seal.

Make alternates on the loot item if the winner does not want it or can't use it (No Trade).

.

11) When ready, your first goal is to kill ten (10) A Kromzek Master Scout.

These are located down the ramp in various locations.

Simply pull and kill your way down.

My group was able to handle three (3) and four (4) MOB's at a time, but it's better to do one (1) or two (2) if you can.

The A Kromrif Scout MOB's will run at 80% health. You must not let this happen, as they will bring back a train.

You will need to always assist (so they ones you aren’t assisting on aren't damaged below 80% and run away) and chain root A Kromrif Scout when it runs.

.

11) By the time you locate and kill 10 A Kromzek Master Scout (Level 60), you will be near the bottom of the ramp.

Your next steps are to enter the "Scout's Headquarters" and kill Omref Stompsmash (Level 60).

Simply clear your way down and take the left path (up) past the water, just before the path / tunnel that leads to Western Wastes.

Omref Stompsmash is in the building there.

My group simply killed the MOB's out front; then the MOB's inside and then pulled him and killed him.

.

12) Once he is dead, loot up fast!

Everyone needs to loot A Shard of Wisdom (Lore, No Trade, Weight 0.0).

NOTE: This is what gives you the XP once you zone out. If you don't loot one, you don't get any XP!

There will also be a loot item for the group rolled on... as well as a Portion of a Coldain Historical Seal (No Trade, Weight 1.0).

NOTE: There will only be one (1) Portion of a Coldain Historical Seal, so in order for everyone to get one, you will have to do this mission multiple times.

The last step is to escape!

So, loot and run for a zone line! Don't waste time, as you are about to be swarmed with giants! I suggest running back the way you came, since it is relatively clear.

.

13) ICEWELL KEEP: The zone out takes you back to Icewell, at Duggans.

Give the Portion of a Coldain Historical Seal to Duggans.

This will upgrade your Diamond Studded Coldain Historical Seal, to the second version.

You will not be able to see the stats on it until you actually equip it.

.

14) Form your group, then hail Duggans and follow along.

The task is known as "The Defense of Thurgadin."

Everyone needs to choose one of the characters to play in the mission.

.

15) GREAT DIVIDE: THE DEFENSE OF THURGADIN: To get into this instanced zone, everyone will need to say to Duggans, "Composed."

You will teleported into the zone, by the waterfall.

Everyone needs to set up their AA and Hot Keys.

.

16) Your first step is to speak with General Lanix (Level 65). He is just ahead by the river.

This event is somewhat like the Coldain Ring War.

The person playing Dain should stay here, with General Lanix.

Their job will be to command the troops to advance. This is done by targeting General Lanix and using  /say to give the commands. Speaking to General Lanix will reveal what those commands are.

There are four (4) Coldain Units named Unit A to Unit D. One key point is that no two units can be sent to the same “position.” A quick set-up of Hot Keys would be a good idea.

Meanwhile, everyone else needs to head to the spires, while the person playing Dain is commanding the Coldain units to advance.

.

17) Once at the Spires, the first wave Giants will spawn near the Eastern Wastes zone line and advance toward you.

By the time they spawn, the Coldain units should have made it to you.  If not, retreat a bit until they do. This is important, as they are your biggest source of DPS.

Once the convergence happens, the fight is on.

Kill A Kromrif Chieftain first, as this is your next step.

.

18) After the battle is won, head on towards the Eastern Wastes zone line, to the top of the hill and standby just south of where the Giants are forming.

This is where you will hang out after each battle from now on.

Meanwhile, advance the Coldain. The giants will respawn in the same place with each wave. You need to keep the Coldain commanded to stay / advance at this spot.

Your next steps/targets are A Kromzek Warlord, A Kromzek Warlord and then A Kromzek General.

Kill them first as they appear in the next three (3) waves, in that order.

My group simply let the Coldain get aggro for a second, then our tank ran in and then we all joined the tank.

.

19) Once A Kromzek General is dead, everyone needs to loot A Shard of Wisdom (Lore, No Trade, Weight 0.0).

NOTE: This is what gives you the XP once you zone out. If you don't loot one, you don't get any XP!

There will also be a loot item for the group to roll on... as well as a Portion of a Coldain Historical Seal (No Trade, Weight 1.0).

NOTE: There will only be one (1) Portion of a Coldain Historical Seal, so in order for everyone to get one, you will have to do this mission multiple times.

.

20) ICEWELL KEEP: To zone out, simply zone out of any zone line in Great Divide and you will go back to Icewell, at Duggans.

Give the Portion of a Coldain Historical Seal to Duggans.

This will upgrade your Diamond Studded Coldain Historical Seal, into the final version!

You will not be able to see the stats on it until you actually equip it.
