EARRING OF THE BROOD
aka Assist Silverwing
This is a relatively easy and worthwhile quest, if you are over Level 65 and have access to Veeshan's Peak.

THE QUEST
1) FACTION: You will need ally faction with the RING OF SCALE (aka RoS) (related to Veeshan's Peak).
I had to work on this faction. The two best ways to raise this faction are:
a) Kill everything in sight in
b) Repeatedly killing King Kazon
Stormhammer (Level 50) in
I did a combination of both, but now regret being

2) KARNOR'S CASTLE: You need to find a ground spawn here, called Inscribable Words (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.1).
NOTE: All the Inscribable Words have the same stats and identify the same.
In the area/room where Venril Sathir (Level 55) spawns, it is lying on the ground near the wall (area of n80 n601).
As a Level 70 Paladin, I was able to obtain this solo, using Invisible and fighting my way in. However, I will note that Venril Sathir was not up at the time.

3) NAGAFEN'S LAIR: You need to find a ground spawn here, called Inscribable Words.
You will find it lying on the ground right in front of the throne of King Tranix (Level 52).
As a Level 70 Paladin, I was able to obtain this item solo by fighting my way in and then running out of range of the giants (including King Tranix).
The giants cannot go beyond a certain point and cannot pursue you into the spider area.

4) PLANE OF VALOR: You need to find a ground spawn here, called Inscribable Words.
They are located in the building right next to the graveyard (zone in), lying on the ground in the center of the arena there.

They are located not too far into the zone. Run in past the door, through the area where the paintings are on the wall and into the next area. You will see them lying on the ground as you go into the next area.
As a Level 70 Paladin, this was a breeze, as I
was not
.
6) CRYPT OF NADOX: You need to find A Broken Skull Acolyte Level 54 to 56 and/or A Broken Skull Seeker (Level 52 to 56).
Kill them until they drop Inscribable Words. A well geared Paladin can do this alone.

7) SIREN'S GROTTO: You need to find A Siren Myrmidon (Level 59 to 60).
Kill them until they drop Inscribable Words.
These are most commonly found in the same area where Faleniel of Darkwater (Level 70) is located.
This one was a bit tough. Take a healer/slower with you, at least.

8) THE DEEP: You need to find A Thought Horror (level 55 to 57) or a A Thought Horror Evoker (Level 54 to 56) and/or An Elder Thought Horror (Level 61 to 62).
These are most commonly found across the invisible bridge in the caves. This is easily done with a healer/slower.
Kill them until they drop Inscribable Words.

9) TORMENT, PLANE OF PAIN: You need to find A Kaniz Hunter (Level 58) or A Kaniz Ravager (Level 59).
They can be found at the first intersection on the bridges.
Kill them until they drop Inscribable Words.
A healer/slower at least, may be necessary.

10) VEESHAN'S PEAK: You need to find Silverwing (Level 75).
Silverwing is the pretty much the first named dragon you come across (go right after the first bridge).
NOTE: You will need a bag slot open before doing this step!
Hail Silverwing and follow along, or just try saying, "I will assist you."
Silverwing will give you Silverwing's List (Lore, No Drop, Weight 1.0) and a container version of Silverwing's Lexicon (Lore, no Drop, Weight 1.5, 8-Slot, Giant, 0% Weight reduction).
Feel free to destroy Silverwing's List as it is not needed for anything.

11) Put all eight (8) of the Inscribable Words into the container version of Silverwing's Lexicon.
Combine them to get the item version of Silverwing's Lexicon (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 1.5).

12) Give the container version of Silverwing's Lexicon to Silverwing and you will get the Earring of the Brood!
NOTE: You can turn the Earring of the Brood back in to Silverwing for the caster alternative, Ring of the Silver Dragon (see or click image, below).
