BLESSED BOOK OF HALF ELVEN CULTURE
(Formerly known as the Journeyman Book of Half Elven Culture.)
This quest is for the second (2nd) cultural book. It is used to make the patterns for the cultural ("Blessed") augmentations and ("Simple") charms.
This quest, items and the item names were changed in 2007and perhaps in 2008, as well.
In order to get this quest, you may have to be Level 30 (unverified) and you need to all ready have completed the quest for the Ancestral Book of Half Elven Armor.
The below outline is for the Half Elf quest.
Other races will have similar
quests handed out by different NPC's in different zones.
For your specific races quest, search Allakhazam for your racial book (replace the racial reference with your own racial reference).

1) NORTH QEYNOS: You are looking for Artisan Vor Westrider.
NOTE: This task can also be obtained from Artisan Nala Goldenthorn (Level 70) in Greater Faydark (Kelethin).
He is inside the main gates, to the right on the left wall.
Hail him and follow along or just try saying, "Patterns" and get the task called, "Blessed Impressions."
You should get Blessed Impression Book (Magic, No Trade, Weight 2.0).
Hold on to it, you will need it later.
In fact, keep it in your inventory.

2) SOUTH KARANA: Time to hunt An Adult Elephant (Level 6 to 9).
You need to kill at least twenty (20) of them.
As you kill them, you may or may not also get task updates for the step labeled, "Make impressions of elephant's tusk rings."
You need five (5) of those updates, so you may find that you need to kill more than twenty (20) An Adult Elephant.
These "impression" updates will occur randomly and automatically.
You get an emote that says something like, "You find a pattern that speaks to you of your culture and make an impression of it."
These "impressions" are collected into the Blessed Impression Book (automatically). You simply need to have the book in your inventory.

3) UPPER GUK: You are here to hunt A Froglok Ton Warrior (Level 18 to 22).
As much as you may hate losing faction here, you need to kill at least ten (10) of them.
As you kill them, you may or may not also get task updates for the step labeled, "Make impressions of the froglok warrior's head patterns."
You need two (2) of those updates, so you may find that you need to kill more than ten (10) A Froglok Ton Warrior.
These "impression" updates will occur randomly and automatically.
You get an emote that says something like, "You find a pattern that speaks to you of your culture and make an impression of it."
These "impressions" are collected into the Blessed Impression Book (automatically). You simply need to have the book in your inventory.

4) NORTH QEYNOS: Go back to Vor Westrider.
Give him back the Blessed Impression Book to finish this task.
You will get the Blessed Book of Half Elven Culture (No Drop, Weight 0.5).
