CATEGORY: THE BROKEN MIRROR

Let me make it clearer! It's time to break the mirror! -- Bonzz

The Broken Mirror was the 22nd expansion, released November 2015. It introduced:

• The Illusion Key Ring;
• 'Load Balancing Zones,' now better known as Pick Zones. When Zones reach a certain Player / Mercenary population, a new 'instanced' version will spin up that Players can swap to using the /pick command (when out of combat).
• 'Level-Scaling Raids' (i.e. the newly introduced revamp of Plane of Fear & Plane of Hate, which are considered part of this expansion), meaning the zone will 'scale' to the average group / raid Level (Level 75+);
• In the Plane of Health, Sul Vius: Demiplane of Decay & Crypt of Sul have zone-wide adverse penalties that can include up to a 30% reduction in Heals, Hit Points and / or Mana. These penalties can be reduced / eliminated by Achievements (Partisan, Mercenary & Hero sets) and / or by use of the Shroud of Relife Illusion and / or a Woeful Mercenary (see below).
• "Dichotomic" Spells, Songs and Disciplines (one per Class). These Spells, Songs and Disciplines are progressive (improving) as you complete Achievements and click the variant reward items (see below).

The Broken Mirror was sold in three (3) versions.

PRE-ORDER: If you Pre-Ordered (any version), you were given immediate access to Beta testing.

STANDARD: This version ($34.99) included (10) Illusion Key Ring slots.

COLLECTOR'S: This version ($89.99) included (10) more Illusion Key Ring slots; (1) Shroud of Relife (an Illusion that helps reduce the effects in certain TBM Zones by 10%); (1) Satchel of Shattered Eternities (40-Slot, 100% Bag); (999), Touchstone of Health (personal Portal to the Plane of Health); (999) Cynosure of Health (placeable Portal to the Plane of Health); (999) Contract of the Chosen (grants access to 'Woeful' model Mercenaries, which also helps reduce the effects in certain TBM Zones by 10%); & (999) Painting: The Broken Mirror (placeable).

PREMIUM: This version ($139.99) additionally included another (10) Illusion Key Ring slots; & Pridewing Lion Mount (useable at Level 1, with stats).

Players who participated in Beta and earned enough 'Beta Tokens,' where awarded a 'Sul Vius Disguise Ornament' (an faction granting Head Ornament).

ALTERNATIVE CURRENCY

• Remnant of Tranquility: These are earned via Group Missions (Heroic Adventures) and can be spent with Kamiowe Ordup, Montelio Danhowe & Shirlell Isnamgam, in the Plane of Health. They can also be spent with Erthwin Firgrove, Lyndalin Delwadamain & Wilcher Rifunuse in the Plane of Tranquility.
• Adoption Coin: These are acquired and used with 'Lynea the pet collector' in the Commonlands, related to 'Adoptable' pets acquired in the Marketplace. While, in-game, they are credited to the original EverQuest, they appears to have been added around July 2016, during this expansion.
• Bifurcated Coin: These are earned via Raids and can be spent with Lyppsenfon Qeyton in the Plane of Health and Nelirid Wittma in the Plane of Tranquility.

EXPANSION ARMOR SETS

Other than the mismatched / variant gear that can drop, 'visible' Armor sets involve a Level of Crafting. Depending on which gear set you are making, they can require one, or more, other items that are either dropped, crafted or sold by a confused patron in Laurion's Inn, which are combined inside a combine container (dropped or crafted). As a note, weapons and non-visible items can also be crafted in similar fashion, as noted below.

• PRESERVING: Group (Tier 1): Group Tier 1 'Preserving' gear can be purchased, using Remnant of Tranquility, from Lyndalin Delwadamain in the Plane of Tranquility.
• VARIED NAME BY CLASS: Group Tier 2: 'Anthemion,' 'Apothic,' 'Blighted,' 'Carmine,' 'Ethereal Mist,' 'Imbrued,' 'Indicolite,' 'Rune Etched,' 'Shiverback,' 'Show Rage,' 'Thorny Vine,' 'Umbral,' 'Valorium,' 'Vermiculated' & 'Woven Shadow' gear can drop in The Plane of Fear: Revisited. It can also be purchased, using Remnant of Tranquility, from Kamiowe Ordup in the Plane of Health.
• CRYPT-HUNTER: Group (Tier 3): 'Raw Crypt-Hunter' armor can be dropped by group named / rare MoB's and in missions. Once acquired, simply click it to transform it into armor for your class.
• DEATHSEEKER: Raid (Teir 1): 'Deathseeker' gear can be dropped in Raids. It can also be purchased, using Bifurcated Coin, from Lyppsenfon Qeyton in the Plane of Health.

• Rank One Discipline, Songs & Spells, are purchased from Warlowe Rida in the Plane of Tranquility.
• Rank Two Discipline, Songs & Spells, are from 'Essence of Life' items (dropped in group content), which you can click and claim and claim one of the offered selections (Disciplines, Songs & Spells).
• Rank Three Discipline, Songs & Spells, are from 'Essence of Decay' items (dropped in raid content), which you can click and claim and claim one of the offered selections (Disciplines, Songs & Spells).
• Progressive Discipline, Song & Spell: There was also a class specific special 'Dichotomic' Discipline, Song and / or Spell, of which the base version could be purchased from Warlowe Rida in the Plane of Tranquility. Improving your 'Dichotomic' Discipline, Song and / or Spell involves completing of Achievements and clicking the various reward items (see the Progression Achievements, below). Your 'Dichotomic' Discipline, Song and / or Spell can be improved three (3) more levels from group Achievements and two (2) more levels from raid Achievements (six max).
