SEEDS OF DESTRUCTION PROGRESSION PAGE
(FIELD OF SCALE THEME)
This page reveals how to properly progress with the Seeds of Destruction expansion and more specifically, the Field of Scale "theme," to include the raid access.
As far as proper progression goes, this is the third (3rd) series of progression tasks, but they do not have to be accomplished in the intended sequence. Whatever order you do them, each completed task series will flag you for the next version of The Void, whatever that may be for you.
From The Void, you can go into different "themes" where there are multiple zones. Each set of zones (aka "themes") has its series of progression related tasks/missions/raids.
These various tasks/missions/raids award flags that allow you to either request missions, request raids, gain an item piece for the over all progression item (Timeshear) or flag you (faction) so that you can obtain certain merchant sold items, like Rank III spells.
As you may have noticed, The Void (A) is in ruins… objects float all about on the outer fringes and it generally looks pretty decimated. Your goal is to undertake tasks/missions to "reverse" this decimation (accomplished a step at a time in each "theme"). Upon completing each theme's "progression," you will be flagged to enter the "next" The Void, where you will notice things have improved somewhat. This will be true each time, no matter which theme's progression sequence you complete first.
Further, Zebuxoruk (Level 90) will offer (sell) more and different items in each version of The Void.
NOTE: This progression ties in with mercenaries. The more you have
progressed, the higher level of mercenaries you are offered and/or can purchase.
NOTE: These task series intertwine heavily with the task series for Bayle's Heraldic Crest, the Timeshear the Blood of the Fallen, Baron Yosig's Skeleton and the Dark Soul Crystal. Many of these tasks can be accomplished simultaneously.

THE QUEST(S)/TASK(S)
1) FIELD
OF SCALE: You are looking for Phara Dar
(Level 90), who is in the dragon area, due south of the zone in.
In the same
area, Jaled’ Dar will give you
the progression tasks, but not until you do some pre-requisite factioning (do
other tasks, not directly related to progression), as noted below.
It is very unclear as to what set of
tasks you need to do at a minimum. The tasks needed are all part of the Baron Yosig’s Skeleton series. Try them in the
following sequence:
·
“The Grand Illusion” which is
outlined here. Completing this task also requires that
you also complete:
o
“Purify the Body” outlined here;
o
“Idle Hands” outlined here;
o
“Evil Afoot” outlined here;
o
“The Skull of the Ancient”
outlined here;
o
!!! NOTE !!!
There is a side benefit to this task set, as it awards you the Bone Mask of the Ancient Iksar, which will illusion you as
an “Ancient Iksar,” allowing you to freely move about (except for
the “animal” and “bug” MOB’s… or when you
actually attack MOB’s), making matters much easier!
·
“Raising Cabilis” outlined here;
·
“Sarnak Recovery #1” outlined here;
·
“Sarnak Recovery #2” outlined here;
·
Sarnak Recovery #3” outlined here.
·
Those sets of tasks should now gain you the needed response of Jaled’Dar.
If not… continue with the following:
·
“Food Supplies” outlined here;
·
“Drake Scourge” outlined here.
·
NOTE: Those
two additional tasks should definitely
do it for you. If you don’t have the proper responses with Jaled’Dar at this point, I can only suggest
continuing with the Baron Yosig’s Skeleton task
series until you do.
·
NOTE:
The above tasks will award you a number of items related to the series. You
need to hang on to them, or sell them to Tavid
Dennant in the Guild Lobby, so you can
buy them back when you actually need them.
FLAG ALERT: You can now request the
Jaled’Dar solo tasks.

.
2) FIELD OF SCALE:
Have a decent group and then hail Jaled’Dar
and follow along, or just try saying, “Investigate” to get the solo
task called, “Lost and Found.”
In this same zone, you now have a meager fifteen (15) minutes to complete
this task!
The task is outlined here.
You can now claim your mission rewards, Hang to the task reward (not progression related) you get, or sell it to Tavid Dennant in the Guild Lobby (you can buy it back later, when you actually need it).
.
PARLEY WITH GANAK
3) FIELD OF SCALE: Have a high-end
group together and then hail Jaled’Dar
and follow along, or just try saying, “Parley” to get the solo task
called, “Parley with Ganak.”
This is a tough event, as you will be
faced with multiple MOB’s all at once.
This task is outlined here.
You can now claim your mission rewards, Hang to the task reward (not progression related) you get, or sell it to Tavid Dennant in the Guild Lobby (you can buy it back later, when you actually need it).
FLAG ALERT: You can now request the
Jaled’Dar group tasks.
.
4) FIELD
OF SCALE: Have a high-end group together and then hail Jaled’Dar and follow along, or just try
saying, “Still available,” to get the group mission called,
“Audience with the Warmaster.”
.
5) KURN’S STRONGHOLD: AUDIENCE WITH THE WARMASTER: The zone-in to this instanced zone is in the same place
as the regular zone.
Once here,
you need to do the following:
·
In the upper
floors, find and kill two Thessila’s
Blademaster and Thessila’s Runemaster (both
level 84);
·
Now kill Thessila the Dark (Level
85, she has a 9K AoE stun), for the win.
You can now claim your mission
rewards, to include a
Timeshear Red Fragment
Dena (Magic, Lore, Weight 0.0).
You need to hang on to this, or sell it to Tavid Dennant in the Guild Lobby (you can buy it back later, when you actually need it).

.
6) FIELD OF SCALE: Have a high-end group together
and head back to hail Jaled’Dar and
follow along, or just try saying, “Still available,” to get the group
mission called, “The Brood of an Emperor.”
.
7) KAESORA HATCHERY: THE BROOD OF AN EMPEROR: The zone-in to this instanced zone is in the same place
as the regular zone.
Once here, you
need to do the following:
·
You need to destroy
twenty-one (21) An Imperial Egg (Level 80). These are located all about the zone on the
pedestals and shelves. With your Ancient Iksar illusion on, you can freely run
about and destroy them with no aggro.
·
Before destroying
the last egg, have everyone go back to the zone line and invis up, as one
player destroys the last egg. Destroying the last egg will spawn the first
waves of MOB’s that you need to kill and they will “key” on
one player and make their way to them.
·
You will need to
kill a total of four (4) A Rear Guard Trooper (Level 81), two (1) A
Rear Guard Scalebrand (Level 81), one (1) A Rear Guard Juggernaut
(Level 84) and then finally, Captain Teszk (Level 85) for the win.
You can now claim your mission rewards,
to include a
Timeshear
Red Fragment Beza (Magic, Lore, Weight 0.0).
You need to hang on to this, or sell it to Tavid Dennant in the Guild Lobby (you can buy it back later, when you actually need it).

.
8) FIELD OF SCALE: Have a high-end group together
and head back to hail Jaled’Dar and follow
along, or just try saying, “Still available,” to get the group
mission called, “The Brood of an Emperor.”
You will be given an
Akromid Crystal (Lore, No Trade, Weight 0.8). Even
though the item has no such description, it is a clicky item used as noted,
below.
.
9) KAESORA LIBRARY: THE PRICE OF KNOWLEDGE: The zone-in to this instanced zone is in the same place
as the regular zone.
Once here, you
need to do the following:
·
You need to find A Corrupt Scholar (Level
86) and attack it. At about 30%, right click the Akromid Crystal on it. You may or may
not get a task update. Repeat this process until you do. You may need a tracker
to find these MOB’s;
·
You need to find
and kill three (3) A Corrupted Beguiler (Level 85). There are only three (3) of these in the zone
and a tracker for these will be handy as well. One is in the “main
library” (west) and the other two are in the side rooms of the upper
“vault” area (east).
·
WARNING: Do not kill the third one straight out!
·
Some people have
reported mission bug issues when killing the third one too fast, so don’t
be in a hurry on the third one;
·
On the 3rd
A Corrupted Beguiler, kill it slowly. Kill it too fast and you will miss the task sequence
involved and the mission will
bug! At about 30%, A Corrupted Beguiler will stop fighting and speak. Follow along. After the task update, you can finish
him off.
·
NOTE: It has been
reported that sometimes more than three (3) A
Corrupted Beguiler will spawn. If so, you will
need to kill them all to spawn Coercer Gordak.
·
Now you need to
find and kill Coercer Gordak (Level 85), who is down in the pit to the west side, on a
platform.
·
Once he is dead,
loot the
Dragonbane
Enchantment (No Trade, Weight 0.8).
.
10) FIELD OF SCALE: Head back to hail Jaled’Dar and give him the Dragonbane Enchantment for the win.
You can now claim your mission rewards,
to include a
Timeshear
Red Fragment Azia (Magic, Lore, Weight 0.0).
You need to hang on to this, or sell it to Tavid Dennant in the Guild Lobby (you can buy it back later, when you actually need it).

.
11) FIELD OF SCALE:
Have a high-end group together and head back to hail Jaled’Dar
and follow along, or just try saying, “Still available,” to get the
group mission called, “Defeat the Dragonbane Phalanx.”
.
12) KURN’S
STRONGHOLD: DEFEAT THE DRAGONBANE PHALANX:
The zone-in to this instanced zone is in the same place as the regular zone.
Once here, you need to do the following:
·
You need to kill
fifteen (15) A Dragonbane Trooper (Level 84), which are on the third (3rd) floor.

.
13) FIELD OF SCALE:
Head back to hail Jaled’Dar and hail
him for the win.
You
can now claim your mission rewards, to include a
Timeshear Red Fragment
Ena (Magic, Lore, Weight 0.0).
You need to hang on to this, or sell it to Tavid Dennant in the Guild Lobby (you can buy it back later, when you actually need it).
.
14) FIELD OF SCALE:
Have a high-end group together and head back to hail Jaled’Dar
and follow along, or just try saying, “Still available,” to get the
group mission called, “An Impenetrable Shield.”
.
15) KAESORA HATCHERY: AN
IMPENETRABLE SHIELD: The zone-in to this
instanced zone is in the same place as the regular zone.
Once here, you need to do the following:
·
You need to find
and kill Nalasztya Voxenak (Level 85, flurries and enrages);
·
You need to find
and kill Zoffler the Drakeslayer (Level 85, flurries and enrages);
·
You need to find
and kill Sheleszka Voxenak (Level 85, flurries and enrages);
·
You need to find
and kill Joralus the Relentless (Level 85, enrages and AoE rampages);
·
Now head to the
room to the far west, where you will see a “shield” floating in the
center of the room.
·
WARNING: Do NOT get near
or touch the shield…. at least, not yet!
·
Now clear the area
and room to avoid being overwhelmed with adds.
·
When ready, walk up
to the floating shield to spawn Shield Guard
Neiska (Level 86, rampages and enrages).
·
You need to kill
him and loot the
Shimmering Dragonbane Shield (Magic, No Trade, Weight 0.1).

.
16) FIELD OF SCALE:
Head back to hail Jaled’Dar and give
him the Dragonbane Enchantment for the win.
You
can now claim your mission rewards, to include a
Timeshear Red Fragment
Caza (Magic, Lore, Weight 0.0).
You need to hang on to this, or sell it to Tavid Dennant in the Guild Lobby (you can buy it back later, when you actually need it).
FLAG ALERT: You have now
completed progression for the “Field of Scale Theme!”
FLAG ALERT: You are also
flagged to request the first raid (of three, in a series) in this theme!
Gratz!
.
FIELD
OF SCALE THEME RAIDS
17) FIELD OF SCALE: Form
your raid (18 to 54 players) and head over to Jaled’Dar.
Hail and follow along
or just try saying, “Great Risks” to get the raid event called,
“A Council Divided.”
NOTE: There is a “hard” version (for up to 36
players) of this raid that can be accessed after defeating the
“normal” raid.
.
18) KAESORA LIBRARY: RAID INSTANCE: Head on into the instance zone, located at the same place
as the regular zone.
Once inside, head to
the vault area (pit), where you will find your raid targets, namely the eight
“council” members.
.
19) The idea here is
to kill the four (4) “bad” members while off-tanking the four (4)
“good” members (all are Level 88).
You can tell the
difference by the emotes that will take place.
The
“good” members are:
·
Sersei, Second
Council Member
·
Glok, Third
Council Member
·
Cathsas, Fourth
Council Member
·
Argile, Sixth
Council Member
The “bad”
members are:
·
Klang, First
Council Member
·
Vyth, Fifth
Council Member
·
Nozirk, Seventh
Council Member
·
Rebthik, Arbiter
of the Council
WARNING: These are the “initial” good and bad members.
If you wipe and try again, some of them seemingly will have a change of heart
and the emotes will change around. Thus, who is “good” and who is
“bad” will change!

.
20) When your raid is
ready, talk to Rebthik to trigger the event.
The
“good” members will be pretty much straight-up melee.
The “bad”
members will use spells that include a targeted 10K DD/2K DoT (“Arcane
Withering”); Single Target “Vulnerability” curses of
different types (Magic, Disease, Poison & Fire), and levels (they decrease
the applicable resistance by 600 and increase incoming spell damage as
follows… II = 100%, III = 250%, IV = 500% and V = 1,000%).
Essentially, you will
need eight (8) tanks with healers and DPS!
If you win, A Polished Chest (Level
70) will spawn with loot!
FLAG ALERT: You are now flagged to request the next raid, below
(“Claiming Felbane the Dragonslayer”)!
.
CLAIMING FELBANE THE DRAGON SLAYER
21) FIELD OF SCALE:
Form your raid (18 to 54 players) and head over to Trakanon (Level 90), in
the same area as the rest of the dragons.
Hail and follow
along or just try saying, “Assistance” to get the raid event
called, “Claiming Felbane the Dragonslayer.”
NOTE: There is a “hard” version (for up to 36
players) of this raid that can be accessed after defeating the
“normal” raid.
.
22) KURN’S STRONGHOLD: RAID INSTANCE: Head on into the instance zone, located at the same place
as the regular zone.
Once inside your
goal is to simply loot
Felbane, The Dragonslayer
(Magic, Lore, No Trade, Weight 3.2; 1H Slash; 23 Delay, 67 Damage, 20 Bonus, 1
Cold Damage, 100 Dragonkin Bane Damage; 58AC, 750 HP, 750 MANA, 750 END; 10
STR, 24 DEX, 47 STA, 23 CHA, 24 WIS, 22 INT, 31 AGI; 38 FIRE, 66 DIS, 38 COLD,
55 MAGIC, 33 POISON; Combat effects 7, Shielding 4, Spell Shield 1, Avoidance
14, Stun Resist 1, Strikethrough 3, DoT Shield 1, Attack 45, Hp Regen 4, Mana
Regen 4; Required Level 80; Freezing Strike (175 DD Proc); Type 8 Slot.
Despite its stats,
it is not wieldable by any player.
.
23) Obtaining Felbane, the Dragonslayer
is accomplished as follows:
·
Find your way to a
“cubby hole” on the first floor, to find the raid-related
NPC’s/MOB’s (not KoS at the moment);
·
To activate the
event, hail and follow along with General
Kurn (Level 90);
·
You will now need
to kill his “officers,” who will activate one at a time, on a timer
(guessed to be 10 to 15 minutes)… thus if you take to long to kill one,
you will soon have two;
·
You will be faced
with a lot of adds for the entire event, so various types
add-control/killing/kiting will be a BIG
factor;
·
Reaver Lord
Thersith (Level 88) can hit for 10K, enrages,
has a single target 3K DD and an AoE 10K DD;
·
Torkis the
Darkscale (Level 88) can hit for 10K, uses AoE
Fear (Paladin tank this guy), casts up a Level 85 Skeleton pet, Lifetaps for
2.3K and has a 4K DD;
·
Srith the Iron
Fist (Level 88) can hit for 10K, enrages, can
feign death and can also cast an AoE feign death on the raid (STAND UP ASAP!);
·
Mudunugu Rathiss (Level 88) can hit for 10K, can mend, has a 5.4K DD and
uses a 1K DD/400HP DoT;
·
Upon the death of
the above four (4) MOB’s, be ready for the “boss” MOB;
·
Champion of the
Tower (Level 89) can hit 11K, enrages, uses an
AoE (75 range) 10-second stun and has a 65% slow with 12 decrease to spell
casting;
·
Loot Felbane, The Dragonslayer
from Champion of the Tower and do loot ASAP;
·
Upon the death of Champion of the Tower, a Military Chest (Level 70)
will spawn with loot inside;
·
You will not have
to fight General Kurn;
·
Remaining adds do not despawn and you need to
continue the efforts to control them (they do not have to be killed for the
raid success, but they will interfere with loot awarding).
FLAG ALERT: You are now flagged to request the final raid in this
theme (below… “Final Confrontation”)!

.
24) FIELD OF SCALE: Form
your raid (18 to 54 players) and head back over to Jaled’Dar, in the same
area as the rest of the dragons.
Hail and follow along
or just try saying, “Finish this” to get the raid event called,
“Final Confrontation.”
NOTE: There is a “hard” version (for up to 36
players) of this raid that can be accessed after defeating the “normal”
raid.
Zone into the instance
by saying “Aid” to Jaled’Dar.
.
25) FIELD OF SCALE: RAID INSTANCE (FINAL CONFRONTATION): You are here to “defend” the Dragons!
When you are ready,
speak to Jaled’Dar to activate the event.
You will be tasked to
defend Trakanon, Jaled’Dar, Severilous, Phara Dar, Gorenaire and then Talendor (all Level 90).
NOTE: These attacks (waves) are time based. If you don’t
kill the first wave fast enough, you will soon have the second wave to deal
with as well, and so forth. The timer is about three (3) minutes per wave (DPS
is a factor)!
Each will be attacked
by sixteen (16) MOB’s that consist of one (1) Iksar Sortie Captain
(Level 88, AoE Rampage) and fifteen assorted/random Iksar Sortie Hunter
(Level 85), Iksar Sortie Crusader (Level 85) and Iksar
Sortie Soldier (all Level 85). All of these
MOB’s summon right off the bat!
The first (1st)
wave will have a few of the above MOB’s with the word
“Augmented” in their name (such as “Augmented Iksar Sortie Soldier”), which are Level 86. These MOB’s can hit
5.5K, AoE Rampage, and carry a “bane” dragon weapon and need to be
killed first.
Subsequent waves will
have an increasing number of “augmented” MOB’s, making it
progressively more difficult!
!!!WARNING!!! Use of AoE’s can and will aggro the dragons you are
protecting! So, don’t!

.
26) The final step will
be to protect Jaled’Dar again (now wounded) from Emperor
Ganak (Level 90).
He can hit 12K, single-target
rampage, AoE rampages, flurries, has an AoE 10K knock-back and more.
At about 15% health, Jaled’Dar will rise
up and finish off Emperor Ganak, with his final breath.
The raid will be
automatically teleported to a different instance.

.
27) FIELD OF SCALE: RAID INSTANCE (POST-EVENT): This is a safe zone.
If you died in the
previous instance, simply say “aid” to Jaled’Dar in the
regular Field of Scale zone to get here.
Near the corpses of Jaled’Dar and Emperor Ganak, there will
be A Chest
(Level 70) with the raid loot inside.
