SARYRN'S KEY

This key is required in order to open a door that allows you (and those with you) into a locked door, where you can then get to Saryrn.

Someone must have this key in order to allow raid access (she is part of the PoP Flag Progression)!

THE QUEST

1) PLANE OF TORMENT (aka Torment, Plane of Pain): Your are here to kill certain MOB's to loot certain items.

This entire quest take s place in this zone.

The good news for a Paladin, is that quite a few of the MOB's you will encounter are undead. In fact, for the most part, I soloed this at Level 75.

One of them is The Avatar of Agony (Level 63).

It is in the area of p500, p500 (north west bridges) or the "death pit" area (sunken area of the bridge) and it normally spawns in one of the rooms on the sides.

You may have to kill existing MOB's to get it to spawn. It hits for up to 600, flurries and has a mana drain DoT (as do the others, below, as well).

Once dead, you need to loot the Orb of Agony (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.0).

.

2) Now you need to kill The Avatar of Anguish (Level 65).

It is possibly in the area of p500, n750 (north east bridges) or the "death pit" area (sunken area of the bridge) and it normally spawns in one of the rooms on the sides.

You may have to kill existing MOB's to get it to spawn.

Once dead, you need to loot the Orb of Anguish (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.0).

.

3) Now you need to kill The Avatar of Pain (Level 63).

It is possibly in the area of n500, n450 (south east bridges), up to the top of some steps in a pyramid like structure.

You may have to kill existing MOB's to get it to spawn.

Once dead, you need to loot the Orb of Pain (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.0).

.

4) Now you need to kill The Avatar of Suffering (Level 63).

It is possibly in the area of n500, p500 (south west bridges), up to the top of some steps in a pyramid like structure.

You may have to kill existing MOB's to get it to spawn.

Once dead, you need to loot the Orb of Suffering (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.0).

.

5) You need to find the "fake" Baraguj Szuul (Level 66) in the room on top of the tower in the area of n1021, p0 (far south, go up the steps on the outside of the tower).

Attack him and you and your raid (a good high-end group can probably do this... I soloed all but the final battle at 75) -- will be teleported into his stomach.

Seriously... his stomach.

NOTE: It would be a good idea to leave a decent group/player at the entrance to this tower. This is so they can keep the area MOB-free for when everyone is ported back there later on (See #8).

NOTE: Have a bag slot open!

NOTE: If Baraguj is at the bottom of the tower when you find him, it means someone started the event and failed. If this is the case, skip directly to Step 13!

.

6) Once inside the stomach -- you can take the time to rebuff, meditate and discuss strategy.

There is a large trap door in the room you are in.

Be careful, as if you click it, it will fall open revealing a deep hole.

Make sure to avoid this while setting up.

.

7) When ready, open the trap door.

Jumping in the hole in a certain way is very important.

First off, the tanks need to go in first -- as there will about five (5) trash MOB's at the bottom, called A Skinless Creature and A Flayed Horror (Level 61 to 62).

Give the tanks a couple of seconds and then everyone else follow suit.

Secondly, the fall -- straight down -- CAN kill you! So don't fall straight down!

The secret here is jump in and "move" towards a wall (direction doesn't matter).

When you hit the wall, it is possible you will stick to it.

Move away from the wall to fall again and glide to possibly get stuck again.

Do this repeatedly to break your fall and eventually end up at the bottom... alive and well!

.

8) Once at the bottom, the tanks need to engage the (MOBS), that aggro right away.

Once the other players get down, they can help.

After those are dead, there are more nearby that you will also need to kill.

Once they are dead, you will see another trap door.

This one works just like the last one (see above).

Take the time to rebuff and med before jumping in.

.

9) Once at the bottom, you will immediately see another trap door.

Do not be tempted to utilize the trap door to escape the MOB's!

If you do, you might end up with more aggro than you can handle!

Instead, kill the MOB's and then go down the path to split and kill the MOB's there.

At the end of that path you will find another trap door.

This is the trap door you want to use, as you will drop into a safer location (there will only be one MOB to deal with there).

Take the time to rebuff and med before jumping in.

.

10) Jump in and clear this level.

Once you clear this level, it is again time to rebuff and med, because the next level is the final "stomach battle."

.

11) At the bottom there will be about four (4) trash MOB's and The Unimaginable Horror (Level 64), who has about 100K HP, rampages and seems to be non-aggro until you attack him (I pulled the MOB's around it, with ease).

This guy has about 100K HP and ramps.

The tank should  hold aggro on the Horror, while everyone else kills the trash MOB's.

Once the trash is dead, focus on the Horror and kill it.

NOTE: It is important to kill the trash MOB's first, to avoid over-aggro of others should you kill the Horror first, because of what happens in Step 8.

.

12) After the Horror is dead, an invisible MOB called An Unseen Sentry (light blue con at Level 75) will spawn and attack the raid one at a time.

It is not necessary (or possible) to kill this unseen assailant.

The attack includes a "proc" that will teleport each raid/party member back to the tower entrance.... one at a time (you appear on the ramp near the tower).

This is why it is important to kill the trash before the Horror.

If a player dies in there, they will be left without a corpse to loot -- or even if rezzed in quick order -- they can be attacked and teleported before they get a chance to loot their corpse!

This is also why it was a good idea to leave a group outside to keep the area clear (see Step 5).

This way, when one player pops out at a  time, they aren't faced with multiple aggro right off the bat.

.

13) Now it's time to rebuff and med again, after you kill the immediate aggro.

NOTE: You will need a bag slot open.

Once done, you real find the "real" Baraguj Szuul waiting for you, straight ahead (in the bottom room of the tower this time).

This is a good battle! He hits for over 1K and enrages and he cannot be slowed (this is the part I could not solo at 75).

Once he is dead, you need to loot the Mouths of Baraguj Szuul (Weight 4.0, 4-slot Container, Giant, 0% Weight Reduction).

.

14) Now put the Orb of Agony, Orb of Anguish, Orb of Pain and the Orb of Suffering into the Mouths of Baraguj Szuul and combine them.

This will create A Screaming Sphere!

NOTE: This item will go on your key ring after you use it to open the door into Saryrn's area (basically, follow bridges and don't take any turn offs)!
