REDEMPTION QUEST

The Paladin Epic 1.5

It's a challenge... have no misconception! Take it on... if you want Redemption! -- Bonzz

This is part of the new Paladin Epic, introduced with the Omens of War expansion!

You must either have the Fiery Defender (Epic 1.0) or the Couragebringer (Epic 1.25) to undertake this quest!

You will also need to be Level 65 to wield this weapon.

A big thing to remember here, when it comes to certain things during the quest, you may have to do the steps below in the order noted. This is because the possession of certain items (hidden flagging) activates a later step when you enter the proper zone and/or have hailed a certain NPC.

However, the first three (3) soulstones can be accomplished in any order (Drema, Rithnok and Reiya). I have strived to list this quest in the easiest order to accomplish, with no flagging issues.

An interesting thing about parts of this quest, is that camps sometimes coincide with the camps of other quests and epics (such as the Vex Thal Key, Breakdown in Communications Quests, etc.), so if you are having trouble gaining assistance, you might use this as a "mutual need" selling point!

REDEMPTION: Magic; Lore; No Drop; 2 Hand Slash; Damage 71; Delay 40; AC 55; STR 20; STA 30; CHA 20; WIS 20; AGI 20; HP 260; Mana 240; Fire 20; Disease 20; Cold 20; Poison 30; Shielding +2%; Required Level 65; Weight 5.0; All Paladin Races; Paladin Only; Effect Flame of Redemption (Cast time 0.8, Recast Delay 10 Minutes -- increases heals cast on you by 35% and increases chances/damage of slay undead procs); Focus Effect: Crusader's Health (increases affect of your heal spells, up to level 70).

.

SET-UP

Necessary steps that give you hidden flags and allow the quest to progress.

.

1) HALLS OF HONOR: You are looking for Irak Altil.

He is the same guy that gave you the Epic 1.0 in the Plane of Fear.

However, this time he is not a Level 51 skeleton, but a Level 70 suit of armor!

He is located in the area of p0 n1371. Coming from the Temple of Marr (HoHb) zone line, if you run straight east up into the building there, you will see him.

Hail Irak and follow along for a long story that recaps how the first epic came to be, how he ended up here in this zone and what he wants you to do now.

Or just try saying, "Visions." This activates the quest for you.

!!!NOTE!!! Irak will not talk to you unless you have (on your character) the Fiery Defender (Epic 1.0) or the Couragebringer (Epic 1.25) and you are at least Level 65.

!!!NOTE!!! Just in case you had the idea, only the version of Irak in the Plane of Fear will reward you with the Epic 1.0! No short-cutting! LOL!

.

2) NORTH QEYNOS: You need to find Enic Ruklan (Level 30).

He is a guard that you will find patrolling about the area of the Temple of Life (the "flying saucer" area).

Hail him and follow along, or just try saying, "Track down." This gives you a necessary hidden flag for Step 3.

.

3) EAST FREEPORT: You need to find Brunar Rankin (Level 9 to 12).

He is a barbarian that you will find fishing by the docks. Simply hail him and he will give you An Iksar's Note (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.1).

If he does not respond to your hail, it means you missed the previous step.

.

GROUND SPAWNS

Quest items that are ground spawns and you merely have to go pick them up.

.

4) DRANIK'S SCAR: In the area of p1050 p100, there is a ground spawn of A Soulstone Shard (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.3). Just follow the left wall from the zone in, like you are going to the Bloodfields.

These used to be easy to spot as they glowed. Now they are pretty hard to see. They look like tiny little prongs sticking out of the ground. I was easily able to locate and pick-up this item, using a Cloudy Potion (Magic, Expendable, Weight 0.8, Effect: 1 Charge of Invisibility).

This is one of four (4) shards for Rithnok.

.

5) NOBLE'S CAUSEWAY: In the area of n875 n357, there is a ground spawn of A Soulstone Shard (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.3). This location is down in the gully, not far from Dranik's Scar.

These used to be easy to spot as they glowed. Now they are pretty hard to see. They look like tiny little prongs sticking out of the ground. I was easily able to locate and pick-up this item, using a Cloudy Potion.

This is one of four (4) shards for Rithnok.

.

6) BLOODFIELDS: In the area of p452 p734, there is a ground spawn of A Soulstone Shard (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.3). This one is inside a hut. There are a number of MOB's here, but I was easily able to locate and pick-up this item, using a Cloudy Potion.

These used to be easy to spot as they glowed. Now they are pretty hard to see. They look like tiny little prongs sticking out of the ground.

This is one of four (4) shards for Rithnok.

.

7) RUINED CITY OF DRANIK: In the area of n516 p363, there is a ground spawn of A Soulstone Shard (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.3). This one can be tough going. Using invisible, you can go to this item and pick it up. However, the way there is a MOB infested path and there are some see invis MOB's as well.

These used to be easy to spot as they glowed. Now they are pretty hard to see. They look like tiny little prongs sticking out of the ground.

Basically, when you exit the tunnels from the zone in, go left up the first bridge. Once you cross the bridge, you will see another bridge across the way leading up into a tunnel. Go up it and go through the tunnels. These tunnels are one-way, pretty much, and come out at what is commonly called the "Stoneworker camp."

Turn immediately to your right and go up the hill/pathway (not the bridge). Try to stay on the left wall of the hill/pathway. As you approach behind a building up top, stay left on the wall. As you go behind and the first building and just past it, the shard on the ground, directly ahead near the rocks you see there.

This is one of four (4) shards for Rithnok.

.

FARMING

Quest items that can be obtained or camped/farmed solo or with assistance (a full group or less).

.

8) Obtain a Mist of Breathlessness (Magic, Weight 0.8, Expendable, Triggered, Effect: Breathless Mist).

NOTE: This item was originally called a Breathless Mist (Magic, Weight 1.0, Expendable, Triggered, Effect: Breathless Mist), but was changed with the Alchemy overhaul in the Prophecy of Ro expansion.

This is player crafted (Alchemy 135), so you will have to get someone to make it for you (or maybe someone might be selling it in Bazaar), using the following items:

·         A Fine Potion Vial (Weight 0.1), purchased in Abysmal Sea from Lita Hegeway (Level 70);

·         A Robust Shadowy Essence (Weight 0.1), drops in Grieg's End off of A Shrouded Willsapper (Level 55);

·         An Valerian Root (Weight 0.0), sold by Severg O’Danos (Level 60) (Alchemy Merchant) in the Plane of Knowledge;

·         A Sage Leaf (Weight 0.0), sold by Severg O’Danos (Level 60) (Alchemy Merchant) in the Plane of Knowledge;

·         Three (3) Woundwart (Weight 0.1), sold by Mydi Darjik (Level 60) in Shar Vahl (Alchemy Merchant).

.

9) OCEAN OF TEARS: Grab a pole and some bait, it's time to go fishing!

You need to fish off the docks (right there where you zone in) until you catch A Dark Fish Scale (Lore, No Drop, Weight 1.0).

In order to fish this up, you will need a fishing skill of at least 100. The higher your skill, the better your chance of catching A Dark Fish Scale. As soon as you catch A Dark Fish Scale, A Corrupted Koalindl (Level 55) will spawn and will attack you.

This fish hits for up to 500, flurries and appears to be hasted. It does not have that many hit points.

This one does seem to have some pathing issues and seemingly can follow you anywhere on land, even if you can't see it.

Once dead, you need to loot A Corrupted Koalindl's Heart (Lore, Magic, No drop, Weight 0.1) (identifies as "Taken from a dark fish in Ocean of Tears").

NOTE: You can dump the A Dark Fish Scale, it is just an item to indicate the MOB spawn has been triggered.

.

10) OVERTHERE: Don't spill your beer, more fishing is called for!

Assistance of a tracker for this one, may help.

You will need to fish in the ocean, on the far end of (east) of the zone. Again, you need to fish up a A Dark Fish Scale (Lore, No Drop, Weight 1.0). As soon as you catch one, A Corrupted Koalindl (Level 55) will spawn and attack you (that is, if you are close to the spawn point). Otherwise you may have to seek it out.

Once dead, you need to loot A Corrupted Koalindl's Heart (Lore, Magic, No drop, Weight 0.1) (identifies as "Taken from a dark fish in The Overthere").

NOTE: You can dump the A Dark Fish Scale, it is just an item to indicate the MOB spawn has been triggered.

.

11) GULF OF GUNTHAK: More fishing!

Assistance of a tracker for this one, may help.

You will need to fish off the beach, aka Ship Graveyard, about center ways, until you catch A Dark Fish Scale (Lore, No Drop, Weight 1.0). As soon as you catch one, A Corrupted Koalindl (Level 55) will spawn.

This one spawned out and left from the beach for me. It also had pathing issues and somehow aggroed and killed players near the lighthouse and zone-in (on the other side of the zone). It was hard to target (I had to use F8), so you may want to warn the zone when it spawns.

Once dead, you need to loot A Corrupted Koalindl's Heart (Lore, Magic, No drop, Weight 0.1) (identifies as "Taken from a dark fish in Port of Gunthak").

NOTE: You can dump the A Dark Fish Scale, it is just an item to indicate the MOB spawn has been triggered.

.

12) NEDARIA'S LANDING: All most done fishing!

Assistance of a tracker for this one, may help.

You will need to fish directly out from the Wayfarer Camp, not far from the docks (right there where you zone in) until you catch A Dark Fish Scale (Lore, No Drop, Weight 1.0). As soon as you catch one, A Corrupted Koalindl (Level 55) will spawn.

This one spawned between the docks and had also pathing issues. It was very hard to target (I had to use F8).

Once dead, you need to loot A Corrupted Koalindl's Heart (Lore, Magic, No drop, Weight 0.1) (identifies as "Taken from a dark fish in Nedaria's Landing"). This one was also hard to loot. I finally figured out that it was because I was sinking too low to loot ("too far away"), while the fish was bobbing up and down. So a little "quick-click" looting was necessary.

NOTE: You can dump the A Dark Fish Scale, it is just an item to indicate the MOB spawn has been triggered.

.

13) UMBRAL PLAINS: You need to hunt Disturbed Elysian Remains (Level 53 to 57).

You need to loot Dark Skeleton Remains (Magic, Lore, No Drop, Weight 0.1) (identifies as "Found in the Plains of Umbral.").

Use invisible to follow around the right wall, past the Vex Thal zone and around to the corner (east wall) to find them.

This drop was pretty quick for me (3rd kill of the noted MOB).

.

14) THE GREY: You need to hunt A Sun Revenant (Level 55).

You need to loot Dark Skeleton Remains (Magic, Lore, No Drop, Weight 0.1) (identifies as "Found in the Grey.").

They are by the pond in the northwest corner of the zone and watch for triggered traps!

This drop was pretty quick for me.

.

15) SSRAESHZA TEMPLE: You need to hunt A Soriz Slave (Level 52 to 53).

You need to loot Dark Skeleton Remains (Magic, Lore, No Drop, Weight 0.1) (identifies as "Found in the Temple of Ssraeshza.").

They are in the basement… in the mines.

At lower levels, take at least a healer and a slower. Crowd control is a very good idea as well, as they will run and bring back friends.

I got this drop on my first A Soriz Slave kill. However, I hear from others that they had to kill for many long hours to get this one.

.

16) NATIMBI, THE BROKEN SHORES: Hunt An Entrapped Potameid (Level 48 to 52) or An Enticing Potameid (Level 60) until you get Potameid Seaweed Strands (Magic, Lore, No Drop, Weight 1.0).

You may need the aid of a tracker, to save time. However, they are most easily found in the southwest area of the zone, about midway down the map (underwater, in the deep area).

The drop is not all that common.

.

17) QINIMI, COURT OF NIHILIA: Hunt A Mastruq Havocblade (Level 58 to 60) until you get Mastruq Havocblade Blood (Magic, Lore, No Drop, Weight 1.0).

The drop is pretty common, it seems.

A Mastruq Havocblade does not spawn as often as other MOB's in the area, but I got this one on about my 10th actual A Mastruq Havocblade kill, camping them just in (and left) from the Natimbi zone line (by the water).

.

18) BARINDU, THE HANGING GARDENS: Hunt A Ra'Tuk Screambringer (Level 55 to 58) until you get Ra'Tuk Screambringer's Jawbone (Magic, Lore, No Drop, Weight 1.0).

I camped the hallway near the Ferubi zone line and had it drop within seven (7) actual A Ra'Tuk Screambringer kills.

.

19) RIWWI, COLISEUM OF GAMES: Hunt A Noc Fleshfeaster (Level 60 to 62) until you get Noc Fleshfeaster Tail (Magic, Lore, No Drop, Weight 1.0).

The drop is not very common. The best place to camp is in down in the arena (pit). Pull them from the left tunnel and/or go into that tunnel.

.

TURN-IN'S & COMBINES

Quest turn-in's and combines that are necessary to progress further.

20) DAWNSHROUD PEAKS: You need to find Mikhal Young (Level 45, Merchant) in the area of p1340 n1287 (in a hut).

Hail him and follow along, or just try saying, "Find anything."

He will give you Drema's Locket (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.1).

.

21) MONS LETALIS: Find Drema Young (Level 70?). She is a skeleton in the area of p837 n1282 (northeast corner).

She is a pile of bones lying on he ground. Give her Drema's Locket.

You will get Drema's Fingerbone (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.1).

.

22) DAWNSHROUD PEAKS: Go back to Mikhal.

Give him the Drema's Fingerbone and he will then give it back.

NOTE: It appears that you can just skip this step and go on to the next one… but why risk it?

.

23) Find Denns Rootenpaw (Level 45), who is right there in the same area (by the campfire).

!!!NOTE!!!: Make sure you have a container slot free!

Give him Drema's Fingerbone.

He will give you A Bone Collector's Bag (Lore, Magic, No Drop, 4-slot giant, 0% Weight Reduction, Weight 1.0).

.

24) Put the three Dark Skeleton Remains in the Bone Collector's Bag and combine them to get the combined version of A Bone Collector's Bag (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 1.2).

.

25) Give the combined A Bone Collector's Bag to Denns.

He will give you an Enchanted Bone Powder (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.1).

.

26) NORTH QEYNOS: Return to Enic and give him all four A Corrupted Koalindl's Heart.

He will give you Seal of Enic (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.5) (it may appear in your inventory, rather than on your cursor).

.

27) ABYSMAL SEA: Find Lovine Lemise (Level 70) in the area of n186 p193 (near the Soulbinder).

!!!NOTE!!! Make sure you have a container slot free!

Hail and follow along, or just try saying, "Ingredients."

You will get Lovine's Potion Bag (Lore, No Drop, 4-Slot giant, 0% Weight Reduction, Weight 0.1).

.

28) Put the Potameid Seaweed Strands, Noc Fleshfeaster Tail, Mastruq Havocblade Blood and the Ra'Tuk Screambringer's Jawbone in the Lovine's Potion Bag and combine them to get the combined Lovine's Potion Bag (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.1).

.

29) Give the combined Lovine's Potion Bag to Lovine.

NOTE: It is rumored that if you did not talk to Irak (Step 1) and you do not have your Couragebringer or Fiery Defender, Lovine will "eat" your turn in (you loose the bag and do not get credit for the turn in).

.

30) !!!NOTE!!!: Make sure you have a container slot free!

Give the Mist of Breathlessness to Reiya the Pained (Level 70), who is right there with Lovine.

You will receive a container version of Reiya's Soulstone (Lore, Magic, No Drop, 2-Slot Giant, 0% Weight Reduction, Weight 1.5).

It identifies as, "This appears to be missing shards."

.

EPIC BATTLES

MOB's that you must kill in order to complete the quest.

31) TENEBROUS MOUNTAINS: At the vampire (coterie) castle, you need to find a Coterie Corrupter (Level 56).

As a Level 66 Paladin, I was able to clear the castle alone. You will find him on the top floor.

He drops A Soulstone Shard (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.3).

This is one of two (2) shards for Drema.

.

32) MONS LETALIS: You might need assistance with this. One group will be enough.

!!!NOTE!!!: Make sure you have a container slot free!

!!!NOTE!!!: Make sure you have A Soulstone Shard (for Drema) on you!

Go back to Drema Young and give her the Enchanted Bone Powder.

She will despawn, respawn in KOS form and then attack you. She summons, uses Lay on Hands, heals, hits for up to 700 and is very resistant.

I had three other people with me (Cleric, Paladin, Monk) and it took a good five (5) minutes to kill her (pre-Level 70).

You will need to loot the bag version of Drema's Soulstone (Lore, Magic, No Drop, 2-slot giant, 0% Weight Reduction, Weight 1.5).

NOTE: Some have indicated A Chest (Level 1) will appear afterwards. This was not the case for me.

.

33) FERUBI, FORGOTTEN TEMPLE OF TAELOSIA: Before you go here, you may want to assemble a group to take with you!

!!!NOTE!!!: Make sure you have the container version of Reiya's Soulstone on you!

As soon as you enter this zone you see a zone-wide emote from Shade of Reiya the Pained (Level 65).

He can be found near the Qinimi, Court of Nihilia zone line, less than 10 (ten) trash MOB's into the zone.

He flurries and cannot be slowed, but he can be killed with less than one decent group (primarily a healer and a slower, who are mainly needed for the trash MOB's). You can do this solo at Level 80.

He will drop A Soulstone Shard (Magic, Lore, No Drop, Weight 0.3).

This is one of two (2) shards for Reiya.

.

34) SKYFIRE MOUNTAINS: Head to the entrance to Veeshan's Peak.

!!!NOTE!!! Make sure you have the Seal of Enic on you and that you have a bag slot free!

Find Dry Sapara (Level 70) (a large dragon) at the entrance to Veeshan's Peak.

Simply hail Dry for a paragraph of response. This will spawn Rithnok the Tormented (Level 68), a large undead drake.

He will be just east of the Veeshan's Peak (out and to the left a little ways, on the hill side).

He procs Harm Touch and hits for about 700. Take a slower, healer and some DPS. It is a good idea to clear the area of some trash MOB's before you begin. I did this easily with a raid force of 9 people (pre-Level 70).

Once dead, loot the first version of Rithnok's Soulstone (Lore, No Trade, Weight 0.1).

Then hand it to Dry Sapara and you will get the container version of Rithnok's Soulstone (Lore, Magic, No Drop, 4-slot, Giant, Weight Reduction 0%, Weight 0.1).

.

35) Now take the four (4) A Soulstone Shard (that identify as those of Rithnok), put them in the bag version of Rithnok's Soulstone and then combine them to get the completed version of Rithnok's Soulstone (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 1.5).

.

36) PLANE OF NIGHTMARE: This will be a raid encounter (24 people maximum).

!!!NOTE!!!: Make sure you have A Soulstone Shard (for Drema) on you!

!!!NOTE!!!: Make sure you have the container version of Drema's Soulstone on you!

You will need to find Etumer (Level 59 to 60). He walks around near the graveyard of the "city" area.

The hard part is getting there. However, with a full raid force of 24 people (four groups maximum) who are all Level 65 and over, it is not dangerous or hard at all.

To get there, run along the wall and cross the river (using levitate) off the big rock, just like you are going to the Hedge Maze event. Be sure to stop and kill all aggro (so trains don't develop and players get killed).

Once across, turn right and follow along the river. You will soon come to the city area. There are lots of MOB's here and you will have to fight your way inside and to the back (go in gates and go along the left or right wall).

Once on the back side of the city, go up the steps to the structure in the center area and wait there. Etumer wonders about this area and stops in this structure during his pathing.

!!! NOTE!!! You must be both raid leader and group leader when speaking to Etumer (so they say).

!!! NOTE !!! You need to be the first person to hail Etumer.

Once the raid is ready, hail Etumer and follow along. The last line is, "I am ready."

Saying the last line will transport your group into the event. The other group leaders must also say "I am ready" to Etumer, to get their groups in.

Once inside, head out into the large open area. You will see Mujaki the Devourer (Level 70, undead, has an AoE 150 DD, fears and can heal himself for 1,500 HP) on a "stage" area. Mujaki cannot be targeted... yet.

There will be a few undead MOB's you will need to clear, right off the bat.

In the three (3) directions away from the stage, are three very large graves/tombstones. Post a group at each grave, as they are the spawning points for four (4) to seven (7) waves of MOB's (it varies). The other group can run back and forth as needed. The idea here is to keep the MOB's (that spawn out of the graves) away from the stage where Mujaki the Devourer is.

When I did this, the only MOB's that spawned were A Servant of Mujaki and A Helot of Mujaki (Level 60, undead).

The MOB's will spawn one or two at a time, out of the graves. They were easy pickings. After you kill each wave, the next cycle will either spawn more MOB's from the graves, or Mujaki the Devourer becomes targetable. When he does, you need to kill him (the graves will not spawn anymore MOB's, at this point).

Mujaki the Devourer was not that difficult, except for the high number of hit points he has. After Mujaki the Devourer is dead, the Shade of Mujaki the Devourer (Level 73-plus, undead, with the same abilities as the first Mujaki) will spawn immediately. The Shade is the most difficult MOB and hits a lot harder. However, my raid had little trouble taking them both out back-to-back and we only had 20 people (average level 68).

You need to loot A Soulstone Shard (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 0.3). This is one of two shards for Drema.

After you loot your shard, A Chest (Level 1) should appear with an item of decent loot for the raid to roll on.

.

37) Put both of the A Soulstone Shard (for Drema) in the container version of Drema's Soulstone and combine them to get the combined version of Drema's Soulstone (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 1.5).

.

38) BARINDU, THE HANGING GARDENS: You will need to find Apprentice Udranda (Level 60).

She is in the area of p256 n752, which is in the water, hidden by the rocks, just left of the gorge that leads to the Vxed zone.

!!!NOTE!!!: You must first have a raid force of at least 10 players (I have been told this requirement is now six)… and at most 24 players, all ready formed!

!!!NOTE!!!: You do not need to be raid leader or group leader (as some claim), when you speak to Udranda!

!!!NOTE!!!: Make sure you have the container version of Reiya's Soulstone on you!

!!!NOTE!!!: Make sure you have A Soulstone Shard (for Reiya) on you and that it is the first soulstone in your inventory!

Simply hail Udranda to obtain the special instanced event.

.

39) VXED, THE CRUMBLING CAVERNS: Take your raid force into the instanced event.

This is the normal Vxed zone, except that it is a raid event (allows more than one group). I have been told that a single high end Level 80 group can do this, now.

You will be after Vuranish Xxuro (Level 75), who is straight up the center of the path, at the top. You will have to fight your way to him.

NOTE: It appears there are actually less MOB's to kill if you take the right path and then veer back to the left at the last turn (use your in-game map). However, with a decent raid force, going up the middle should not be a problem.

While all of the MOB's are Level 71 and higher, they do not hit as hard as the normal 1-group Vxed MOB's.

Vuranish Xxuro casts "Quivering Nightmares" AoE (decreases innate abilities by 200, range of 150, lasts 2 minutes) and he melee's for up to 2K. He can be slowed by a Shaman or an Enchanter. He can be a tough fight. While he is very magic resistant, he is most easily hit by spells if they are cast from right under him (much like you have to cast under some of the named Dragon's).

You need to loot A Soulstone Shard (Magic, Lore, No Drop, Weight 0.3).

This is one of two shards for Reiya.

After you loot your shard, A Chest (Level 1) should appear with an item of decent loot for the raid to roll on.

!!!NOTE!!! Don't worry, if you fail, you can re-activate this event again!

.

40) Combine both of the A Soulstone Shard (for Reiya) in the container version of Reiya's Soulstone to get the combined version of Reiya's Soulstone (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 1.5).

.

41) HALLS OF HONOR: Return to Irak Altil.

!!!NOTE!!!: You will need to have all three of the completed Soulstones on your person!

Simply hail Irak.

This will give you a hidden flag to allow (activate) the next step.

.

42) NEDARIA'S LANDING: You need to find Redis Linrok the Suffering (Level 70), located near the waterfall at the sawmill.

!!!NOTE!!!: You will need to have all three of the completed Soulstones on your person!

!!!NOTE!!!: You will need to be in a group before you speak to him! Further, you may need to be group leader.

The group does not have to be in the zone with you (they can wait for you in the Ruined City of Dranik).

However, someone who can port you (to Bloodfields) would be advantageous (to save time), as there is a time limit on getting to RCoD and into the event (30 minutes)! The easiest way is with a fellowship campfire.

If you fail or if the timer runs out, you will not be able to try again until Redis respawns!

Hail Redis and follow along to obtain the special instanced event and then make haste to the expedition.

.

43) CATACOMBS OF DRANIK: Your group will find the entrance to this instanced zone in the Ruined City of Dranik.

It is up above the camp commonly called the "Statue" camp, in a cave, which is essentially straight in from the tunnel from the Bloodfields zone line.

!!!NOTE!!!: You will need to have all three of the completed Soulstones on your character!

As you zone in, you will see a shout by Shade of Redis Linrok (Level 73). He is in the north east corner of the zone (in the "round" room on the map). You can run (skip) past sections of the way to Redis, as many of the MOB's do not see through Invisible. However, some of them do, so be wary of that so you do not end up trained!

My group was able to "invis" past a good portion of the dungeon. We were able to pick our spots to stop and clear the area near the MOB's that could see us. The room just before where Redis is especially tough, as it contained a LOT of MOB's. An enchanter for crowd control may be essential!

After you get to Redis, clear some of the other MOB's so you can pull him off one to one side (alone), before you try to kill him.

He is in a circular room, in the center. The other MOB's are around the wall. He can hit for 1,400 and casts an AoE debuffer/mana drain curse. A good healer, a slower and a decent tank will be needed. I was able to easily tank him at level 70.

Loot Redis' Soulstone (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 1.5).

NOTE: A Chest (Level 1) did not appear when I did this.

44) WALL OF SLAUGHTER: !!!NOTE!!!: You will need to have all four (4) of the completed Soulstones on you!

!!!NOTE!!!: You should be the LAST person to zone in, as you are the trigger! (You can zone in as normal, or use a campfire.)

Let your raid go in and clear the area of MOB's before you go in. When ready, zone in and you will hear an emote from Durunal the Cursebearer (Level 80).

He spawns to the right of the bridge (in the ruins of a building right there) near the Muramite Proving Grounds.

He is Level 80, he is leashed to his spawn spot, hits for up to 1700, has an AoE Gravity Flux (use Dead Man Floating or Levitate to help counter this) and an AoE called "Epoch Conviction" (MR buffs needed here, as it lowers MR by 300, decreases spell damage by 20%, decreases attack by 280, decreases Hit Points by 100 per tick and Mana by 50 per tick). He can be slowed.

During the fight, adds (MOB's) will spawn. They are timed spawns, so the longer it takes to kill him; the more adds you will get. The adds are elemental type MOB's (level 67 to 68). The Furious Lightning Elemental (Level 66) can be mezzed. The Enraged Lightning Elemental (Level 66) can't be rooted or mezzed, so it has to has to be kited or off-tanked.

An Anguish-plus geared raid can do this with 2 groups or less.

When I did this, none of the AoE's ever hit me, only two (2) elementals spawned (a number of regular trash MOB's added, however) and the fight was over in under four minutes.

Once he is dead, you need to loot A Dark and Twisted Sword (Lore, Magic, No Trade, Weight 4.0).

There should be A Chest (Level 1) appear afterwards, with a nice item in it.

45) HALLS OF HONOR: Return to Irak Altil.

!!!NOTE!!!: You will need to have all four (4) of the completed Soulstones on your person!

!!!NOTE!!!: You will need to have A Dark and Twisted Sword on your person!

!!!NOTE!!!: Make sure you have a bag slot open!

Give Irak A Dark and Twisted Sword.

He will give back to you a container version of the A Dark and Twisted Sword (Lore, Magic, No Drop, Weight 4.0, 4-Slot, Giant, 0% Weight Reduction).

.

46) Put Redis' Soulstone, Rithnok's Soulstone, Reiya's Soulstone and Drema's Soulstone in the container version of A Dark and Twisted Sword.

Combine them to get Redemption! Woot!

!!!NOTE!!!: As an added bonus, you will also get 5 (five!) free Alternate Advancement Points!

NOTE: You should also get the Title: Redeemer. If you have a Redemption, but do not have this title, take your Redemption (equip it) and go see Kraylor Nalsiv in the Plane of Knowledge (up by the Library, in the northeast corner). Hail him and follow along.
