--------------------------------------------------------------------

As you go about your adventures in the original Planes, you will often come across some No Trade items that likely of little or no interest to you… or simply can't be used by your race, by a Paladin and / or by your deity.

At other times, you may be able to use such items, but eventually outgrow them and advance beyond them.

In that they are No Trade, you can't sell them, trade them or tribute them (normally). You are then left with the choice of cluttering your bank with such items... or destroying them.

This mini-quest (so to speak) is one where you can actually trade in some of this armor, in a productive manner!

...

QUEST

1) If you ever come across most any of the following types of armor, don't destroy them or let them rot!

The first step is to acquire any of items of the following armor types:

Anthemion; Apothic; Blighted; Carmine; Ethereal; Greenmist; Imbrued Platemail; Indicolite; Insidious; Legionnaire Scale; Rune Etched; Scaled Hierophant; Shiverback-Hide; Thorny Vine; Umbral Platemail; Valorium; Vermiculated; and Woven Shadow.

All of these items drop in the Plane of Fear or the Plane of Hate.

.

2) PLANE OF KNOWLEDGE: In PoK there are various Guardians located around the zone.

If you speak to a Guardian and follow the conversation, he/she eventually tell you that the Guildmasters are looking for certain types of armor. If you then say "What armor?" to any of the Guildmasters, they tell you that they want pieces of the class-specific armor from the Plane of Fear or the Plane of Hate. However, none of this chat is necessary.

All you have to do is find the Guildmaster for the appropriate class that applies.

By class, the following NPC Guildmasters seek the noted armor types:

·         Bard: Imbrued (Virtuoso Ciadus, Virtuoso Legilwan, Virtuoso Zoama)

·         Beastlord: Anthemion (Savage Lord Cedrean, Savage Lord Dwev, Savage Lord Etherat)

·         Cleric: Ethereal Mist (High Priest Elikor, High Priest Eliwan, High Priest Vasil)

·         Druid: Vermiculated (Hierophant Trilawyth)

·         Enchanter: Insidious (Phantasmist Abaur, Phantasmist Salkith, Phantasmist Tairon)

·         Magician: Apothic (Arch Mage Deidus, Arch Mage Narik, Arch Mage Olera)

·         Monk: Shiverback-hide (Grandmaster Chendra, Grandmaster Limsa, Grandmaster Vohar)

·         Necromancer: Blighted (Warlock Vesthin)

·         Paladin: Valorium (Crusader Difur, Crusader Gimil)

·         Ranger: Thorny Vine (Warder Elwysaie)

·         Rogue: Woven Shadow (Assassin Daran, Assassin Mirot, Assassin Rysarieul)

·         Shadowknight: Umbral Platemail (Grave Lord Dreavud); Greenmist (Grave Lord Vizurik)

·         Shaman: Scaled Hierophant (Oracle Balek); Rune Etched (Oracle Cador, Oracle Guwan, Oracle Maeth)

·         Warrior: Indicolite (Warlord Gligoth, Warlord Korehan, Warlord Welorf), Legionnaire Scale (Warlord Skriek)

·         Wizard: Carmine (Sorcerer Dogan, Sorcerer Farin, Sorcerer Kerynth)

Simply give the Guildmaster the appropriate armor.

In return you will be rewarded with experience and a random gem, that you can sell, tribute or use in tradeskills.

NOTE: I hear that you can also turn weapons, but I have not tested this.
