This page is primarily about Paladin’s Achievements, BUT… it can be referenced by other classes since most achievements are common to all classes. The only variant Achievements are in the General category.

Achievements were first added in December 2009, with the Underfoot expansion. While every expansion since has included it's own achievement sets, and there are categories that are not expansion specific, they also tossed in a category called "Hero's Journey."

To be honest, Hero's Journey looks like a short cut to include achievements for multiple previous expansions ( The Serpent's Spine, The Buried Sea, The Secrets of Faydwer & The Seeds of Destruction) disguised as a "helper" category for newer players. However, they later added in a category for every previous expansion, as they should have done from the start, but they only included basics like Hunter, Explore, Raid and an overall General category. Perhaps they will one day go back and move the Hero's Journey achievements to their correct expansions and add missing categories to all of the older expansions.

More recently, they added content to the game that technically fell under an older expansion, even though they content was designed for more current levels and difficulty. Fittingly, they did add achievements related to that content to under the achievements for the older expansion (i.e. Plane of War was added to Planes of Power & Gnome Memorial Mountain was added to the Secrets of Faydwer).

However, there are still things that should have achievements but do not, such as an Explore for the Wayward Lady housing type, a Slayer for Snails / Slugs and perhaps a few others.

There are also no achievements for obvious things that have yet to be added, even though there is clearly some sort of background functions in the game they could utilize for the "checks" on the achievements. Such as acquiring all spells / disciplines by level (clearly there is a background "check" in place for the spells / disciplines you have scribed / memmed, or not). This one would fit nicely under the General Achievement category in the "Class" sub-category, for instance.

• Some classes do have more achievements than others, such as for more AA’s, more ornamentation sets and so forth. Some classes / races also have achievements that only apply to that class / race (such as Rogues & Poison Making).
• The number of achievement points you get for achievements can vary and seem to have no overall consistent logic to them. Achievements are basically semi-legit bragging rights, since you can link achievements as proof you have credit for them (or others can compare achievements and see for themselves). I say 'semi-legit' because some achievements can be had via task adds and the like.
• The Burning Lands (TBL) expansion made achievements truly relevant, since they are required in order to progress the TBL rare gear (gloves, boots, shoulders & ring). Similar achievement requirements were included with the Torment of Velious (ToV) expansion, as well, with the Zek Earring.
• Otherwise, achievements are very useful in tracking your progression or even just looking for something to pursue other than redundant experience. 
• In fact, there are some “expansion” quests that do not involve a task window, but the achievement window will allow you to see where you are with such quests by the check boxes on the steps involved (i.e. Serpent Seeker’s Charm of Lore).
• While achievements are essentially “solo” efforts, many WILL require help from others – up to and including a raid force.
• Accomplishing achievements will require character levels, Hero’s Forge activation, all access membership, alternate advancement, tradeskills, combat skills, magic skills, languages, progression, raiding, questing and essentially every aspect of EverQuest – to include purposely going for difficult “conquest” (challenge) achievements.
• Some achievements are accomplished by simply possessing and / or equipping certain items (i.e. Hero’s Forge ornaments). Some achievements are “hidden” – meaning you will not see them until you actually take a step towards completing them (or actually complete them).
• Completing achievements and achievement sets (yes, there are even achievements for completing other achievements) can result in a host of assorted rewards… from Alternate Advancement points, large bags, clickies, illusions, mounts, placeable items, special alternative advancement abilities, level related gear (level related to the achievement, not your character), trophies and more. Just be aware that such rewards can vary by class (i.e. awarded items may be class specific).
• In fact, there are some Achievement benefits that are sort of secret or hidden. Such as achievements that "unlock" items on specialty vendors that you would see or be able to purchase otherwise.
• In short, there is absolutely a valid reason to pursue them!
• Achievements in each categorical list may not necessarily be in alphabetical order. They were added in the order I originally saw them when making these pages. This order may have changed since then with game updates... or I have sometimes purposely grouped them together. Thus, you can either scroll down the lists, or use Control-F (Find) to seek any specific achievement(s) you may be looking for.
• Many achievements have requirements that are indented to the right (in the achievement window, in-game). If so, these particular steps are not usually required to complete the achievement (optional); or any (1) of them are acceptable to complete the primary achievement step; or they are the the sub-steps needed to complete that line of the achievement.
• Some items needed for achievements will be noted as being sold via the Marketplace. Not all such items are available year-round. Some are seasonal offerings or “limited” offerings and may not be offered again for quite some time, afterwards.
• Sometimes, the pursuit of one achievement is actually the pursuit of multiple achievements. This is because some achievements are “master achievements” (so to speak), as they are for completing other sets of achievements. Some achievements have similar / same requirements and your actions will count towards each of them… such as Hunter achievements in the Lost Dungeons of Norrath... and Slayers. In short, you will not necessarily have to repeat anything, as doing it once should credit to all applicable achievements.

NOTE: Most listed Achievement rewards / reward options are the Half Elf / Paladin rewards. Unless an item is “All / All” – other classes and races should receive similar reward(s) more suited to their class / race.

NOTE: Items listed as Reward(s), will, generally, only be noted if the reward(s) is / are something other than character experience, achievement points and / or currency (i.e. Platinum).

NOTE: Items listed as "ACQUIRED" are unique item's that can be / are / should be acquired along the way, towards completing an achievement, but is not actually a reward granted from the achievement itself... in fact, the achievement may even be for acquiring said item.

NOTE: Any rewards highlighted in YELLOW might be worth pursuing, due the fun factor, benefit or usefulness of the reward (you decide).

NOTE: Some miscellaneous “hints” may also be included in PURPLE. These hints are intended to enhance / clarify the "how to" for accomplishing the achievement.
