Having bags is essential!

You simply must have room to loot items in order to accommodate the need to sell them for profit; have room for alternate weapons; have room for clickies; have room for food/drink; have room to loot items for quests; have room for items that you need in trade skill combines; and if you are like me, have room to hang on to hang on to those items you just can't rbing yourself to destroy, sell or tribute!

While yuo can buy and maintain two houses to signififcantly expand your bank/storage space... there never seems to be enough space and bag space remains essential!

All this stuff can get really heavy. In fact, if you get too heavy, you will become encumbered. It is possible to become so encumbered that you literally can't move. Further, it can affect your fighting ability, as well.

So, obviously, the most desirable bags to have and carry are the ones that have as many slots as possible, are as light as possible (what the bag itself weighs) and the biggest slots as possible (giant). This way, when you loot anything, it will fit in your bags and it will not add to your weight!

There are many such bags (or more properly, "containers") in the game.
